Bed Wettin Bad Boys Can Wet My Bed

Garage punk quartet from Sydney Bed Wettin Bad Boys started off as a side project of Nic Warmock (founder of R.I.P. Society Label) and Joe Sukit, bassist of Royal Headache. The two of them were joined by Warmock's brother Ben (who plays in Red Red Krovvy) and for a while they existed as R.I.P. Society and released two singles: 2010 Best band in Sydney/Worst band in Sydney and 2011 Nobody Else. Soon they've come to realize that they need a steady drummer, so the trio became enriched for Doug Gibson. The guy actually needed to learn how to play the drums in order to join the band. Lol. Their debut, Ready For Boredom came out in 2013. Even though it managed to preserve their raw punk energy, the album represented a step back from the dirty party image they have been nurturing.

Rot was recorded and produced by John Hunter in the period of few years and it represents a new chapter in the career of Bed Wettin Bad Boys. In that sense, the album is successful because the signature punk sound is there, only now it is supported by lyrics that are not reduced to banal beer drinking and crawls on the floor. Good examples are songs with pop choruses, such as Away and Plastic Tears. Besides classic punk tracks such as Stunned and Work Again, the boys have found a path into a melancholic territory on Victorija and took the psychedelic ride on a trace of The Velvet Underground and The Saints on a song Turn The Page.

These boys have certainly overgrown peeing in bed and they are ready to become rotten on the rock 'n' roll scene.
