A$AP Rocky- Why You Should Listen

A$AP Rocky’s musical style reflects his true roots, it’s hardcore yet distinct. He dresses like he raps, he’s expensive and has tastes that not many people may enjoy. That’s why I love A$AP Rocky, he’s not afraid to say it how it really is. A rapper shouldn’t be afraid to day what is on their minds, I mena, that’s kind of what rap is all about. A$AP Rocky, I believe, is a little under appreciated. Maybe it’s because he really doesn’t care what he says, or maybe because he and the rest of A$AP Mob are a little too “hardcore.” Whatever it may be, I’m here to tell you why I love Rocky’s music so much and why you should give him a listen.

“At. Long. Last. A$AP,” his last release, was good, not great, but certainly one to give a listen. Canal St. was in my Top 10 Songs of 2015 and for quite a good reason. That song alone made me realize how much I truly love Rock’s style and unique music. Other songs like “Lord Pretty Flacko Jodye 2,” and “Electric Bodies” were superb as well, really delving in to the underground style that I have come to love so much.

A$AP Rocky is supposedly releasing a new mixtape soon and let’s just say, I’m absolutely ready. Before you take my recommendation and just jump in to listen to his new mixtape, take it back and listen to his last few releases. Listen to A$AP in his younger days and work up to now, I’m sure you’ll enjoy the slow, but noticeable change in his style, and I hope you’ll enjoy it just as much as I do.
