Hillsong gets a hit again with "Jesus, I Need You," another captivating gem. This beautiful song just breaks my heart. It's a song that reminds us of our need for a Savior. It also reminds us that we are helpless to save ourselves by any other System are any other way to get To heaven. It says in the opening lines that forward or backward we are always looking to the cross that Jesus was hung on the Calvary. In the chorus, we turn to God singing, “Jesus, I need you…” The beauty of the song I Can make the world better, But a song that is written to glorify the father and the Son is even better. It is more edifying than just any old song.

When I hear the song, I see ordinary men singing the praises of God who has a choice whether to save them or not save, but out of His love for us, He chose to save us, even in our sins. What is striking in this song and in many others is the fact that the gospel is so simple that all you have to do is believe on the Lord Jesus Christ to be saved. Then, you won't die in your sins. You'll be forgiven. It's striking that songs like these with all their heart tell the simple gospel to the public while so much false teaching has been so easily misconstrued from the Bible which many hold sacred. This song is just a song with need crying out to the Father and asking Him for help in time of need. The doctrine  in the songs verses what is preached in the pulpit often times does not match up. We see all of these hands and rock songs for the Christian faith that hint that just faith. In the pulpit, A whole other message of condemnation is sometimes given. This song reminds us to seek the Lord above all else and not man because man is corrupt. And all of us needs Jesus more than ever. That is what this song is appealing to. The song says, “Before me… or after me the Lord is present. He is present in our sufferings and hearing our needs. Let us take in the sights and sounds of this magnificent group and their songs that the Lord is using to bring people to the knowledge of Him. It is amazing!
