I just found this “new” Christian artist that is actually from the old times named Bill Gaither. He has a plethora of great gospel music for those who need spiritual wealth and nourishment. Gather was responsible for so many numerous classics like “We'll Work Till Jesus Comes,” and “Give The World A Smile,” among others. These are old school gospel hymns that for the most part are missing from the regular mainstream churches today. It’s pretty sad that these are deemed so old fashioned by others in the world today. These are hymns that need to keep being re-arranged and done over and over again. They display the true joy and the hope of God.
The song “Give The World A Smile” lacks any scripture that I can hear. One of the good tenants of a great Christian song has a good deal of scripture in it.However, it is a feel-good song that would give you enough of a happy feeling which sometimes could be enough to stimulate a relationship between you and Jesus Christ. It brings happiness and gets one away from anxiety, which is a great sin (but one that is often overlooked). Some of the arrangements that are on Youtube that are by Bill Gaither like “Lifeboat,”has an electric guitar with a country twang. It’s really joyous.
The music of this composer is just a big celebration, a celebration of the eternal life and the hope of all of us have in the savior Jesus Christ. Lord, have mercy! What mercy He has for us until His coming.
In each of these songs, a whole group or congregation is singing and these songs are full of peace. I don’t know about you, but I want Jesus and I want heaven.
