Take a break and hear gasps from God’s people and chants of glory. In this song, you can feel the holy spirit touching every part of you, healing you from all your guilt and mistakes. The driving piano is so inspiring and gives the song motion. You almost don’t need the drum in the background. Let the glory of the Lord fill your house is the song’s most poignant message of encouragement. As the Bible says “Take courage.” “The Lord is with you always.” I hear grace and see the gold of a new morning coming when I hear a song like this. This spirit-laden song is good for new believers who are looking for a fresh chance to seek God in all His riches and His light.
The big nature of this song is typical of these spheres of worship. The nature of these is to attract people who are not necessarily believers to hopefully become believers. While the message of this song and many others may be succinct, I wonder of the dangers of this type of worship. Is this the proper way to worship God? Do the times change that much to warrant the musical tastes to be like that of the world’s? There is so much confusion and hypocrisy within Christian circles on the aspect of music, that while this song does have a very positive message, one could almost put the majority of secular music in its place and people wouldn’t know the difference. A lot of it now is rock and roll, and while this type of music can be inspiring (and it is), it doesn’t really belong in a church setting. Times do change, however and Elevation Worship is probably one of the biggest worship bands now of this current age. The song has a good message in the words, but the music is something that is of a worldly accompaniment which is fairly recent in style.
