The song “This Is Living” is a song from the album of Hillsong Young & Free. Hillsong Church is a megachurch in Sydney, Australia, that made their impact to world through music. Through Hillsong Worship, they have made and published a lot of worship songs that even other churches all over the world are using as songs for worship during church services. Hillsong Young & Free is a youth ministry of Hillsong Church that also writes and makes music. Their music has made a great impact in most of the Christian youth nowadays. They make their music as lively, soothing, and inspiring as they are, that it really fits the taste and aura of the youth.
One, very impacting song that struck me is the song “This Is Living”. I bet a lot who listened to it loved it. I find the lyrics of the song very personal as if the things that I’m grateful for and experiencing were evidently put into a song. In the first verse “Waking up knowing there's a reason, All my dreams come alive, Life is for living with You, I've made my decision”, I could see a theme there that is a purpose-driven life that is meant to live. With a sense of purpose is what would inspire us even more in waking up every morning and live our lives. The rest of the lyrics is themed with freedom and His undying love for us. This song is a consolation to whatever negative feeling or circumstances you are facing. I mean all of their songs would really bring comfort to one, but this song fits about living.
