Where Is Mint Royale after Blue Song was released?

With many things in life, I discovered music through an oddly popular U.K. show called 'The Mighty Boosh' which essentially was a comedy improv show where a lot of weird circumstances took place. That being said the two comedians Noel Fielding and Julian Barratt was the leading duo. So Fielding and Barratt ended up in this music video for Mint Royale's "Blue Song" which was cleverly choreographed with Fielding sitting in a parked car.

Afterward, Mint Royale jumped into the charts and was relatively known throughout the 2000's. "Blue Song" was released in 2003 and as the years passed Mint Royale was a name hardly uttered. Although a funny thing has happened, now famous film Baby Driver was inspired by the music video for "Blue Song".

So what happened after 2003? Well, Chris Baker who was one-half of the band left for good, leaving Neil Claxton to continue on. As of 2016, the band name Mint Royale was retired and Neil Claxton went on to continue with his own name.

Without too much notice Mint Royale suddenly become a name heard throughout the industry within the last three years. More musicians are citing Mint Royale as an inspirational band.

Continuing on Mint Royale have left a legacy without realizing. As time would predict Mint Royale will become a household name, whether it will be with producing or writing music. Nevertheless, this may be the best way to leave the success of a band, at the height of an essential high. "Blue Song" still beats to its own drum and has become a classic track to play at parties. Or at least the parties I have attended because it's the opening track on every dance mix playlist.

Without a doubt give "Blue Song" a listen and watch the accompanying music video.
