The Future Of ODESZA Means A More Mature Ambient Sound

All the cross over musicians who are combining electronica, indie, and ambient noise are dictating one focus, the advantage of channeling atmosphere with emotion. ODESZA stands away from the mass majority while feeding a frenzied need for chillwave music. Whether this is ODESZA's intention, doesn't necessarily matter after listening to "Line Of Sight" featuring WYNNE & Mansionair. Hypnotic and with enough room to dance too, doesn't cover the slightest bit of description I want to give this song.

The track reminds me of a mashup of a song that came out years ago and ended up on some random playlist, one of the bands was The Streets and the song was "Dry Your Eyes". Besides the sudden recollection of a similar sounding song, ODESZA offers a neatly beat ridden ambient pull towards their song "Line Of Sight".  No matter what time of day, "Line Of Sight" can easily play to soothe any discomfort.

ODESZA is an electronic duo coming from the Seattle area. Even though the duo was formed in 2012,  only recently ODESZA has received more and more attention. Youtube has placed them on their artists to watch/rising artists, much to the high expectation of their fan base.

However, the question lingers does the world already have enough of this genre of music? While no one wants to put any band in a secluded area or pigeon holed. ODESZA are coming into the industry as an electronic duo in the same way The Chainsmokers barged in unexpectedly. Another given is the fact that ODESZA is a more mature listening avenue than The Chainsmokers, who effectively cater towards an EDM/Rave haven.

Nonetheless, ODESZA is embarking on a long journey towards stardom. One full of the sudden highs of becoming recognized and supported, while other bands are continuously popping up in the same genre, openly battling it out to be heard.
