Pushing the Right Buttons

Uncovering an international band is equivalent to finding your long lost twin. If that is too overly melodramatic, well that's how it feels. Lust For Youth assuredly belong in the lost and found equivalent of finding your long lost twin.

As 'Stardom' weaves in and out through the headphones I am wearing, a numerical equation of beats will flood through. In doing so, many (and I mean many) various bands/artists will come to mind. Beats that sound oddly familiar and other's that sound new. Lust For Youth construct a paradigm of musicial componants that sounds unlike anything else happening right now. Psychedelic/Synth-based and some even on the more Indie side of the pyramid of music have been over done the last couple of years. What Lust For Youth 'Stardom' introduces to our listening acquaintances is that a tribal, trip-hop, electronic, non lo-fi, Indie melding friction is possible without the club beats being present.

'Stardom' is personal, intimate and ever more so hush-hush type of track that is better while alone in a room, than in a large group. 'Stardom' may not be a wholly reflective song but it does have something that pushes the right buttons to stick with you for the rest of the day.
