Can you imagine a band made by three best friends, rocking around the world? Yes, it is possible! That is the story of Dirty Loops!

This Swedish band is coming from Stockholm, Sweden. The three classmates and longtime friends are Jonah Nilsson on the keyboard and lead vocals, Henrik Linder on the bass guitar and Aron Mellergardh playing the drums. They became popular among the people overnight, and it all started with Lady Gaga's cover “Just Dance” on YouTube.

Why and how everything started explains Henrik and he said: "The reason we initially started Dirty Loops was just for fun and for a creative outlet. We were doing a lot of session work, and we were creatively bored. We started doing covers just as a fun, creative outlet for ourselves. It felt like freedom to us".

Dirty Loops started their career with doing covers of popular songs in a way that nobody else has ever done it before. They give the songs a different dimension and perspective, meanwhile creating their recognizable sound. Kind of pop rock, R&B and jazz fusion altogether.

In April 2014, they released their debut Album “Loopified”. The album contains 15 tracks. Jonah Nilsson, Henrik Linder, Aron Mellergardh and Andreas Carlsson composed all of the tracks(except the cover tracks). I would put “Loopified” in some kind of a modern electronic pop rock and jazz fusion genre(a brand new genre maybe?). Overall really modern sound full of music knowledge, talent and hard work there by all of them. I can comfortably say that they explored every genre in this album. Truly, one of my favourite albums and bands!

The first single from the album and also my favourite is “Hit me”. This track is also their first one they made altogether. Nilson stated that after this song everything afterwards was a smooth flow. In the very beginning of this single, we can feel a tight rhythm, rich harmony, some awesome bass slapping and excellent vocal singing. You just cannot remain the same and not react to the music and the groove! By the way, I love the end of the song where there is an incredible bass fill and more impressive vocal run that puts the finish of the song in their style. In each track, they show their extensive technical knowledge and musical maturity, but also their musicality and sense of phrasing.

"Loopified" is one of the albums I find very inspiring for every Musician. From each track, there is something new to be learned and something that will expose your horizons. The music of Dirty Loops is a real revolution and high achievement in the world music. There is always something new. The music will never stop its development!
