I’m sitting here in front of my notebook and typing these lines about magical music. Music is all around, music is everything and it’s everywhere. I can feel it all the time, constantly: when I look at the sky, when I drink water and look at my own reflection in a mirror. Every single thing does have its own sound. It’s a pretty interesting game of finding new sounds and observing these sounds taking their place in a mosaic of this world around. Pictures are tremendous.
This thing I have found recently – Jupiter Jax – is a little treasure. I cannot call it any other way. I am listening to “Visitors” album at the moment and experiencing a real musical pleasure. Jupiter Jax is a moniker of a producer from Malta named Rudi Agius. He makes a very, very tasty house / techno / synth music. “Visitors” is a silent revelation and a very calm, cozy orgasm for one’s ears and soul. His house is deep and saturated. Soft, though self-assured beats are like some underwater creatures – they stroke your diaphragm with their warmth and depth. 80s synth sounds form thick waves of melancholic melodies in which one can drown and get lost for a long time. Leads and pads are dreamy and wet. The whole atmosphere is a pure dreamful joy.
Jupiter Jax is a calm flashback of something good and meaningful in your life. It recalls you all the good things you’ve experienced; it reminds you of love and peace we all deserve. The project has three releases: 2013 cassette release called “City Life ‘88”; 2013 cassette release called “Visitors”; 2015 release called “Visions”. Listen to it with no any shadow of doubt – it’s a worthy and extremely fresh piece of good, really good music. Enjoy!
