I love mysteries. Think we all do. So here is one for you. A project I have found recently. It’s called Truce. It is as perfectly atmospheric and deep as mysterious or, perhaps, just unknown. Maybe it’s just me looking for mysteries and romantic puzzles everywhere. But anyway, for now this project’s got no any certain info on the web. I do not know who stands behind this project. But it’s always even better this way. The only thing Discogs says is that it’s a Danish project and it has got two cassette releases: “Solaire” (2015) and “The Marseillaise Of Love” (2015). When I was listening to Solaire I was like – wow, this is it! And this was really it.
Truce is like an electronic snow. Imagine that you’ve fallen into a snowdrift; and the snow is warm. You feel comfy, protected and overwhelmed with lots of emotions – anticipation, joy, sadness. So this is actually what Truce is all about to me. Synth sounds, deep and subdued vocal, distant sounds of a drum-machine: lo-fi, postindustrial ambience full of dreams. Well, it is a dreamy postindustrial. A sky full of violet and blue waves bred by this calm, though disturbing music.
Truce feels like waiting for something good and your speakers tell you that you’re right. It will happen; you cannot be wrong. And as you watch these beautiful skies dancing and the whole winter atmosphere demands dreaming, you can get so deep into this rich music!
Truce is a saturated lump of dreamy electronica and poems being sung somewhere far away. A saturated lump of feelings. You can listen to these synth melodies and monotonous voice over and over. A short album can be played again and again bringing you the new feelings each time.
Try this tender yet strong electronic act. Hope we’ll get more releases from Truce. Really looking forward to it.
