I wash my hands in a water of the toilet I wash my hands in the beauty of your tears
Everything is undefined and controversial. I cannot tell anything definite about the things surrounding me at the moment. One second it’s a wall I’m looking at, but the next second it’s a flower with a big mouth and sharp teeth. I look at my speakers and they start pulsating and menstruating. Plastic turns to wet elastic flesh begging for touches with a weird voice. My window is breathing loudly; it’s disturbed and excited. Excited with what? I cannot figure it out for now. I know I’ve got to panic, but I don’t. I know it’s alright. Sounds have eyes and melodies got tits. Beautiful hands of the door got red nails and horny fingers. All this chaos seems to be friendly and skittish. It flirts; his eyes blink and even air in my room changes its color – now it’s bright and happy.
What’s going on? Nothing extraordinary – it’s Felix Kubin. His records make all that mess I’m enjoying right now. Each song is a new craziness with its own unique and whimsical temper. You can never tell what kind of charming little disaster would happen as you turn Felix’s music on. It’s always random and nervously changing. The only thing constant about Kubin’s music is the feeling of right things happening. It always feels right and cozy whether Felix is sad or cheerful.
Felix Kubin is electronic musician and self-proclaimed Dadaist from Hamburg, Germany. He is so talented and stylish that it’s even improper! He started making music at the age of 8 years: organ, piano, glockenspiel and then – Korg MS-20. He runs his own label called “Gagarin Records”. Felix also creates radio plays, music for theater and animation. He’s a man-machine – witty, sly and talented. It is just impossible not to fell in love with his art.
