There is nothing more exciting in the music world than discovering an artist right as they begin their musical journey, and watching them grow and become a huge success. That is what happened when I discovered the music of country artist Luke Bryan. His first album "I'll Stay Me” is still my favorite album. I have had to buy a couple newer copies, as I wore them out from continuous play.
I discovered Luke Bryan when I was asked if I would like to interview him. I had no idea who he was way back in 2007, and I had to head to YouTube to check him out. I loved his music from the first time I listened to his hit single “All My Friends Say”.
I was a fan by the time I interviewed him, and speaking with him just reinforced that I had discovered an artist who could not only sing and write his own music, but that he was also a great, down to earth guy who loved music, performing and his fans.
He was just beginning back then, but I had no doubts he would make it big. It has been so great to enjoy each and every album he has created and see him win many awards for his music.
Bryan has had 14 number one hit songs; “Strip it Down” is his 14th number one song. He has also had 20 top 10 songs. Recently his song “Home Alone Tonight” which features Karen Fairchild from Little Big Town is now in the top 10. Bryan has sold over 7 million albums, and 27 million singles worldwide. He has won over 2 dozen awards for his music, such as Academy of Country Music Awards and Country Music Association Awards, as well as "Entertainer of the Year" award, and has been nominated for several other awards.
I am glad that I was able to enjoy the music of Luke Bryan from the very beginning and watch him succeed in such a great way.
