Enlightenment in Nightmareland

BRILLIANT ALBUM.

Shark Inferno is the world's greatest unknown band. It's probably better that way because popularity is the kiss of death. ha ha

They have put out a ton of albums. The first six are all just bass guitar and drums (but you would think there's some 6-string in there...). Many of the later albums were made "at home" as opposed to in a professional recording studio, so they sound a bit more electronic I suppose. But still very good! (I would recommend Shplook! )

Anyway... Enlightenment In Nightmareland is one of the later studio albums (so 6-string guitar). My favorite songs are Ann-Margret, Dragonfly, The Red King's Dream, Peel Slowly And See, Dear Family, and Legion Of Dolls (a friend of mine thinks it's the best song she's ever heard. ha ha). The entire album is good, really. Also features what is probably the only tribute song to the amazing Danielle Dax.

I'm used to the CD, which has a different track order than the one shown here. And an amazing booklet. ha ha

The lyrics are very clever, and the music is a sort of mix of 1960's - 1990's alternatroid music. I see them described as "Doom Rock", which sounds about right (whatever it is.)

You should check them out for yourselves.

And then keep them secret.  ha ha
