Subtle Touches By The Grace Of Falling Down

This Wild Life are a product of the Warped Tour life. Normally casted as an acoustic pop rock duo This Wild Life still have their acoustics however, the duo have flavored their track with a bit more electronic buzzing. Their newest album Low Tides breaks open the barrier and attracts a more Skrillex skill set. Yet, without a heavy hand because Skrillex is slowly dedicated to electronic producing when This Wild Life are adjusting to a balance. Kind of when Coldplay came out with their album 'A Head Full of Dreams' and discovered when one adds a touch of experimental electronic noise it can be taken to a further realm.

One unexpected outcome is the duo's arrangement on 'Falling Down'. Once the track starts to play, we are given the false illusion of another alternative rock acoustic number, yes...like Dashboard Confessional. Don't get me wrong, Dashboard Confessional was a non-stop repeat offender on my playlist however, every song tended to blend together. But when 'Falling Down' hurries pass the opened door, the listener is graced with a whole new area of hyper realism. With maybe a single synth playing in rhythm, the duo use their talents of layering vocal tracks, acoustic guitars and drums.

Ultimately This Wild Life have trust in the musical universe a balance will be held. A subtle crossover from Alternative Warped Tour essence to a slight electronic rock anthem?
