Bully an easy enough name to remember that also packs a punch. As a surprise, I happened to see Bully open for the Drowners a while back and instantly took a liking to their red light bulb lit stage. Once Alicia (lead singer) started singing and then epically screaming out lyrics...all the while keeping composure as a grunge drenched heroine.
Pinpointing exactly where Bully would fit in on the genre defining scale would be heartbreaking. Why heartbreaking? Because Bully have a variety of definitive catchy songs to throw our way. A band simply based on playing loudly and to anyone in the room. Never once have they implemented any certain type of purpose based solely on image, pop driven boredom or instant radio stardom.
Feels Like is Bully's debut album, although they do have an EP that was released a year earlier simply titled Bully. And even though a part of me wants to throw out influences or who the band may sound like, Alternative seems to be a greay place to start. Not quite Rock however, Bully accquires this anarchic character within their body of work that somehow reimagines what should be deemed hardcore. Add in a few Pop based lines mixed with some of that unsual 90's based literature that has now become widely popular for being original.
