We're Rick Lee Vinson Group, an independent country and Americana act based in Las Vegas, NV. We write original songs rooted in real life — no filters, no formula — and record them in Nashville with live musicians. With over 160 original songs registered with ASCAP and BMI and sync credits in film and television, we've been building something honest and durable for a long time.
We came up in the Southern California music scene — the Troubadour, the Whisky, the 101 corridor. Rick graduated from the inaugural class of the Guitar Institute of Technology under Howard Roberts. That foundation — real players, real rooms, real craft — never left. "My Girl's For Real" comes straight out of that tradition. It's not a produced sentiment. It's something lived, something earned, written the way we've always written: from the inside out.
