Chill Storm Perspective on Dawn After Everything
I don't know about the earliest, but probably the most influential is when my dad bought me the "Boston's Greatest Hits" CD for christmas. I enjoy playing guitar more than any other instrument and the music on that album was the foundation for everything else I learned.
For a long time the music I wrote was created to be a soundtrack for a fantasy novel series I had the idea for. It's been heavily influenced by fantasy, anime and horror. The themes often revolve around fantastical subjects, like saving the world, dystopian societies, and fighting battles. Plus, it's Rock, so add some sex, drugs and Rock n Roll in there too.
Easy question: Boston, Van Halen, and Joe Satriani because of their sound and the guitar playing.
I don't think I ever really chose. I've always loved music of all types. It's just something that has been inside of me and it's just who I am in my heart and soul. I remember becomming obsessed with certain songs I like at about 5 years old and listening to them over and over. I remember songs before that but I think at 5 I had figured out how to play and rewind tapes. We had a tape that had "The Heat Is On" by Glenn Fry that I really liked and I was probably closer to 3 or 4 years old when I discovered that.
