Who are you and what do you do?
Answer:

I go by the name of Source Revival.

I left prison after 10 months inside having been wrongly accused of attempted murder of a police officer.

No lawyer, no resources, high court trial... I got myself out.

It was then that I decided to fully commit to telling my spiritual awakening journey from the past 6+ years and how its truly transformed my life in ways I couldnt have previously imagined

Sacred Mirrors: A Twin Flame Journey

Is the debut album

A 17 track afrobeats journey into my twin flame story

How does your background play into this song?
Answer:

Interestingly, my background, so to speak... Doesn't!

I was born and raised in Glasgow, Scotland.

Lived in Australia for 6 years before moving back to Scotland.

That's what makes this unique.

I'm inspired by a multiutude of music genres and couldn't think of any better genre than afrobeats to tell that of my twin flame journey

What is your earliest memory of listening to music?
Answer:

My Mum was big on Elton John & David Bowie

My Dad was more into The Clash, Sex Pistols, The Who...

I have flash back memories of music, however my true passion for music came about during my early teenage years when I started to discover my own styles and what resonated best with self

At what moment in your life did you decide to become an artist / performer?
Answer:

My freedom from Prison.

I was wrongly accused and locked up for 10 months before I got myself out,

Inside, I started to write poems and was amazed by the storytelling and word play that came through me

Music was something I always felt drawn to return to ( I produced some tracks during my teenage years ).

My spiritual awakening journey presented me with a unique opportunity to tell my own story, spoken in rhythm and rhyme

What genres does this release play into?
Answer:

Afrobeats, Dancehall, Club Bangers, Hiphop

How has your sound and style evolved in the last 3 years?
Answer:

Still finding it.

Im very much someone who isn't contained by one specific style.

I have another 4 full albums ( all different genres ) , Ready to go

With a 5th in the works

Answer:

Spiritual awakening

Self Discipline

Twin Flame

If you could go on tour with any artist, who would it be and why?
Answer:

Masego. Without a doubt, the greatest live performance I've seen to date.

Chronix also put on an incredible show

How would you describe your favorite artist's music to someone who has never heard them before?
Answer:

Music that moves the soul. If you ain't dancing... you ain't feeling it!

How would you describe your music to someone who has never heard it before?
Answer:

Unique!

A storytelling journey of one mans spiritual awakening over 6+ years of inner transformation, love, connection, wisdom and spiritual evolution

Everything I talk about, I have lived it.

If you could attend a performance by any artist, dead or alive, who would you choose and why?
Answer:

Its got to be Bob.. Isn't it!?

Not only the charisma and passion that Bob Marley brought.. but its wisdom is on a whole different level.

I seen Bunny Wailer Live, Been to Peter Toshs house, talking with a cousin of Peter, and been to Bobs house a couple times on the tourist route of Jamaica.

But to see a live performance. Theres very few artists that can match the energy he brought and the impact its had on many generations to come

What is your favorite song you have made, and why?
Answer:

Theres over 100 tracks... You want me to pick 1 !?

Honestly. I'd struggle to name a top 10.

I've been blown away by the consistency of the quality thats being put out.

Genuinely. Check them out and you'll see what I mean

If you could only listen to three artists for the rest of your life, who would you choose and why?
Answer:

ohhh. Thats a cruel question

I couldn't do that to myself.

I'd need to go some Instrumentals, hiphop orchestra or pshycadelic house/jazz vibes

What does your dream performance look like?
Answer:

I'm a storyteller, less of a performer.

The world is my stage show. I'm here enjoying the ride

Who is your dream artist or musician to collaborate with?
Answer:

Skiibii, Tems, Lila Ike, Kabaka Pyramid

Skiibii - vibes! One of my favourite afrobeats artists

Tems - What a voice!!

Lila ike - Same.. What a voice!!

Kabaka - up there with my favourite artists of modern times

Carlos Santana - favourite guitarist

What is the strangest place where you have discovered a new song?
Answer:

Outback of australias north is an interesting place.

The haunting sounds of the didgeridoo are unbelievable. I could sit and listen to them for hours. The sounds vibrates through to your soul. Goosebumps!!!

What do you want people to feel when they listen to your music?
Answer:

Inspired.

Inner motivationt to transform their life into the greatest main character energy theyve yet to see.

I take discomfort in modern day societies mindset of happy to settle

We should never settle for anything less than the very best

Its what we all truly deserve

Stop playing small. Know that you are already deserving of all your dreams and soo much more.

Elevate you mind.

Change your mind, change your reality

What three words would you want your fanbase to use to describe you?
Answer:

Up To Them

What is your favorite way of sharing your music?
Answer:

Campfire Story telling, Community vibes

Do you practice? How has your practice changed over time?
Answer:

Practice??

I'm always open to the opportunities the universe presents me with,

Excited to learn new projects that resonate with me at the time

I feel myself stepping more fully into my creative outlets as the recognition from these albums elevates

Having the financial freedom directly impact the freedom to create

What is your definition of success as an artist? How do you measure this success?
Answer:

Sucess is a frame of mind.

Money becomes a tool of measurement. However, lets make it very clear. Money is never the goal! Freedom is the goal that financial abundance creates.

My desire is to truly inspire others to become the best version of self

To take accountability and recognise that we all have the power to change out lives and create what ever we so desire,

Less excuses, more action

How do you plan on being a game-changer within your genre?
Answer:

Has there been another Scottish afrobeats arist before me?

As I mentioned. I have 5 albums ready to go with another in the works

Sacred Mirrors : A Twin Flame Journey (recently launched) - Afrobeats storytelling of my twin flame journey to date

The Divine Masculine Code ( old school hip hop energy meets the conscious storytelling of healed divine masculine energy )

Global Roots Awakening (Reggae/dancehall inspired uprising of natural healing and sovreignity)

Medicine In Motion ( progressive house plant medicine journey)

The Art Of Coming Home (soulful blues/ indie rock story telling of self love and discipline)

What role do you believe the artist has in our society?
Answer:

Art comes in many forms

The key is to be authentic in our creative expression

Whatever form that takes

Authenticity vibrates at a higher frequency than that of love.

We naturally become magnetic to others just by being ourselves

Name a song that best represents success to you, and why?
Answer:

Thats an incredible question. I'm using this one for myself in future conversation starters!

First song that came to mind is Burna Boy & Damian Marley - Different

That self confidence to speak your truth and stand in its power

What has been your scariest experience while pursuing music?
Answer:

F.E.A.R

False

Expectations

Appearing

Real

What has been your most embarassing moment while pursuing music?
Answer:

I don't embarass easily. If you seen my social content you'd know exactly what I mean.

I've opened up to a level of honest that showcases alot of vulnerability.

It's simply something I feel I must do in order to be honest and genuine in my intentions

If you could alter the music industry in any way, what would you change and why?
Answer:

So much!!

Raising the frequency of the collective conciousness beyond that of the lower chakras,

If you don't know what I mean by that,

look at the messages being pushed upon the masses in recent years and how its been destroying the minds of the youth

WE have the power to change this, and very easily with consistent messages that elevate the soul

Bring music back to its natural frequency of 432hz and other solfreggio resonating frequencies as opposed to the destructive 440hz (industry norm)

Raise awareness of self respect, self love, self discipline, self worth etc.

Love over Lust,

Shared wealth over greed

Community spirit over all for one mentality

What jobs have you done other than being an artist?
Answer:

Briefly a waiter as my first job at 15

Worked in sales for a couple years

Finance & banking for around 5 years

Then briefly a tree surgeon before moving to australia and working rope access (abseiling skyscrapers) for painting and remedial repairs

Then started my own painting & decorating business with less than $1100 and turned it into over 100k in 3 months

Gave that all up to return to the uk with next to nothing

Done it all over again before going to prison for 10 month due to the injustices of the corporate legal system, before coming out, done 15k+ in under 30 days painting before deciding, no more negotiating with the universe

I fully removed the safety net and went all in on music and my spiritual brand, Source Revival

How have your other passions reinforced your process of making music?
Answer:

They are my process for making music

Art through canvas painting

The storytelling of my life journey and wisdom gained along the way

My inner transformation journey and alignment with true love

Cooking, time in nature, storytelling, fitness... all of these are creative tools that amplify the quality of my art

Has being an artist made your life lonely? How do you counteract this?
Answer:

My spiritual awakening did this

However, theres a big difference between feeling lonely and recognising the power of solitude when its time to create and focus on yourself

Mindset shift

How would you define having an artistic outlook on life?
Answer:

Life is Art, Thats the beauty of it

What is your favorite work of art?
Answer:

Life

Which mediums of art do you most identify with?
Answer:

For me, its my music, storytelling, oil paintings and how I carry myself through this journey we call life.

In general though, I am drawn to people who are authentic in their expression

I don't need to become a fan of others to respect their creativity.

I very much enjoy seeing people succeed and I encourage others to fully express themselves freely

Name three artists you’d like to be compared to.
Answer:

No

What is the most significant lesson you've learned through being an artist?
Answer:

Do you have one main reason driving you to continue making music?
Answer:

Elevate the collective consciousness

What is your overarching goal as an artist?
Answer:

To elevate the collective consciousness

To inspire others to overcome lifes obstacles with a smile on their face
