Agønma Perspective on Mascara

“Mascara connects more to my personal background through love, intimacy, and complicated relationships than through culture or race. For me, the song reflects the emotional highs and lows of toxic relationships and the way love can feel both beautiful and damaging at the same time. It feels personal because it continues themes I’ve explored before, while also bringing a sense of vulnerability and honesty into the music. So while it doesn’t directly relate to my racial background, it does come from real emotional experiences and my perspective on intimacy and unhealthy love.”

Personally, my favorite song I ever made, as of right now, would have to either be Mascara, my newest release, or Denim Lines. They're both fun songs, but yet, sad songs that connect to my life deeply.
