Moving to the Capital Region for a fresh start also played a big role. It pushed me to focus on my purpose and turn my passion into something real. That’s when I fully committed to being an artist and building my brand, not just for myself but to create opportunities for others through Mac Dhat Music.

My earliest memory of listening to music goes back to being young, hearing hip-hop and R&B playing around me—whether it was in the house, in the car, or just being outside in the neighborhood. Music was always part of the environment. I remember being drawn to the energy, the storytelling, and the way certain songs could change your mood instantly.

That early exposure stuck with me and eventually turned into passion. It made me want to not just listen, but create—whether it was DJing, producing, or making my own music. That foundation is a big reason why I approach music the way I do today.

My background plays a big role in ‘Plotting’ because everything I talk about comes from real-life experience. Growing up in the Hudson Valley and later moving to the Capital Region for a fresh start, I’ve seen both struggle and opportunity. That journey shaped my mindset—always thinking ahead, staying focused, and building something bigger than myself.

‘Plotting’ reflects that mentality. It’s about moving smart, staying patient, and working through obstacles while keeping your vision locked in. Being an artist, DJ, and entrepreneur, I’ve had to learn how to create my own lane, and that same energy is what drives the record. It’s not just music—it’s a reflection of how I live and think every day.

Over the last three years, my sound and style have evolved a lot in terms of clarity, direction, and purpose. Early on, I was experimenting and finding my voice, but now I’m more intentional with my music—everything from the production I choose to the way I deliver my message.

I’ve grown into a more authentic and confident artist, focusing on real-life storytelling, stronger structure, and a sound that reflects both my grind and my vision. Being involved not just as an artist but also as a DJ and entrepreneur has helped me understand the business side, which influences how I create and present my music today. It’s not just about making songs anymore—it’s about building a brand and a lasting impact.

The main themes I explore in my music are grind, ambition, loyalty, and overcoming struggle. I focus a lot on real-life experiences—what it takes to build something from nothing, staying focused through obstacles, and moving with purpose.

I also touch on growth and mindset, especially the idea of thinking ahead and creating your own opportunities instead of waiting for them. Songs like ‘Plotting’ reflect that energy—it’s about staying sharp, staying patient, and always working toward something bigger. At the core of it, my music is about motivation, authenticity, and representing the journey.

If I had the opportunity to go on tour, I’d choose artists like Cory Gunz, Scar Lip, Jadakiss, alongside The LOX or French Montana.

The reason is simple — there’s already alignment in energy, sound, and in some cases, real business connections. That kind of foundation makes the collaboration more organic and impactful, both on stage and behind the scenes.

Touring with artists in that lane would allow me to grow within a space that values authenticity, storytelling, and street-rooted artistry — which is exactly what I bring to my music.

At the same time, I respect what artists like Drake and Meek Mill have built. They’ve mastered connecting with a wide audience while maintaining their core identity. Being around that level of movement would be a major learning experience in both music and business.

I’d describe it as a balance between emotion and energy—music that can motivate you, make you think, and still hit hard. It’s the kind of sound that feels real and relatable but also has a polished, mainstream appeal that can reach anyone.”\

My music is real, raw, and motivational. It’s rooted in hip-hop with a gritty, street-influenced sound, but it’s also about growth and mindset. It’s music for people who are grinding, thinking ahead, and trying to build something bigger in life.

I’d choose to see Tupac or Biggie or Big pun perform live. There  presence, energy, and message were on a different level. It wasn’t just music—it was a movement. Seeing that kind of passion and connection with the crowd would be an experience that goes beyond entertainment.

Right now, ‘Plotting’ stands out the most because it represents my mindset and where I’m at in life. It’s not just a song—it’s a reflection of how I move, think, and plan for the future. It captures my growth as an artist and the direction I’m taking with my music.

My dream performance is being on a big stage in front of a packed crowd where people actually know the words to my music. The energy is real, the crowd is engaged, and every song hits. I want it to feel more like an experience than just a performance—lights, visuals, and a strong presence that brings the music to life.

Music gave me a way out and a better path. After my mom passed, I made a promise to change my life and be happier. This is bigger than music—it’s purpose.

I don’t compare myself to other artists—I’m focused on being a leader and creating my own lane.

Music first, but also visual art, photography, and film—anything that allows expression and storytelling.

It means seeing creativity in everything and turning experiences—good or bad—into something meaningful and expressive.

At times it can feel that way because of the focus and sacrifices, but I stay grounded by keeping a small, real circle and staying connected to people who support my vision.

Being a DJ, entrepreneur, and creative in different areas has helped me understand both the artistic and business side of music. It allows me to create with purpose and think bigger than just a song.

I’ve worked  Culinary art in many different postions because i have a degree in hopsitality and culinart arts as well as in healthcare as a Home Health Aide,  and a certified nusre assisted (CNA)  along with other jobs that taught me discipline, responsibility, and how to deal with people from all walks of life.

I would make it more fair for independent artists, especially when it comes to exposure and monetization. There’s a lot of talent that goes unseen because of lack of access, and that’s something I want to help change.

Early on, just learning and making mistakes—whether it was performances or recordings—but those moments helped me grow and become more confident.

The scariest part is stepping out on your own and investing in yourself without guarantees. But that risk is part of the journey, and it pushes you to grow.

I plan on being a game-changer by building more than just music—I’m creating a platform. Through Mac Dhat Music, I want to give independent artists opportunities, while also bringing a real, authentic sound that represents growth, business, and culture all in one.

Success to me is building something real and lasting—creating music that connects with people while also building a platform that opens doors for others. I measure success not just by numbers, but by growth, consistency, and impact.

Artists are influencers of culture and mindset. We have the ability to inspire, tell real stories, and shift how people think and feel. That’s a responsibility I take seriously.

The most memorable responses are when people tell me my music motivates them or that they relate to my story. Knowing something I created can inspire someone else is what really sticks with me.
