Hakim Shah Perspective on Tere Bin
Hakim Shah is part of a new wave of independent artists reshaping Pakistan’s music scene raw, emotional, and unapologetically real. Hailing from Islamabad, he creates music that feels less like performance and more like confession. Every lyric carries a piece of his story, blending vulnerability with a modern sonic edge that resonates deeply with listeners navigating love, distance, identity, and self-reflection.
Rooted in Pop, R&B, and Hip-Hop, Hakim’s sound isn’t confined to one lane. He experiments across genres, fusing smooth melodies with introspective lyricism and rhythmic flows that reflect both global influence and personal experience. With a vision that goes beyond borders, he aims to create music in multiple languages connecting with diverse audiences while staying true to his voice.
As an independent artist, Hakim isn’t bound by industry formulas. His sound moves fluidly between indie pop, lo-fi textures, and cinematic moods, drawing inspiration from real emotions rather than trends. This blog is more than just a space to share songs it’s a window into his world where every release, every lyric, and every idea is a step closer to building something timeless.
“Tere Bin” is a story built on love, faith, and sacrifice. The song is primarily written by Adil Raaj, whose vision and emotions shape the core of this piece. I later added my own part to the song bringing in a perspective that reflects my personal understanding of love and devotion.
My contribution to “Tere Bin” comes from a place of deep sacrifice the kind of love where you’re willing to do anything for one person. It’s about putting their happiness before your own, carrying their pain as if it were yours, and standing by them no matter what.
There’s also a strong sense of faith within my part of the song. When you love someone this deeply, every moment starts to feel like a sign from above. You begin to believe that it’s all meant to be that somehow, will bring your story to its destined ending.
“Tere Bin” lives in that emotional space where love is intense, selfless, and uncertain at the same time. It’s about holding onto someone, even when they’re not truly yours and still praying that one day, they will be.
As a child, my earliest memories of listening to music are tied to my little MP3 player. I would spend hours listening to artists like Atif Aslam, KK, and Ellie Goulding, and I was a huge fan of Big Time Rush I used to play their songs on repeat, singing along to every track.
I also remember thinking about how they created these songs. Back then, it didn’t feel impossible to me I thought, I can make melodies too. So I started humming my own little tunes, experimenting with sounds, and imagining how it would feel to create something that could move people the way music moved me. That curiosity planted the first seeds of my own musical journey.
“Tere Bin” falls into the dark cinematic pop genre. With this release, we aimed to create a sense of nostalgia, drawing inspiration from the classic style of KK blending emotional melodies with cinematic textures to give listeners a heartfelt, immersive experience.
My music is like a journal it’s my story, my emotions, and my experiences put into sound. I want to see how many people can relate, because at the end of the day, it’s not just about me. I want to tell them and remind myself that we’re not alone in this we’re all in it together, supporting each other through every feeling and every moment.
My dream performance is one where I don’t even need to sing the audience knows every word of my songs already. That energy, that connection, where everyone is singing along with me, is what I’ve always imagined performing would feel like.
I want people to find their own story in my songs. I want them to feel like the emotions, struggles, and moments I share aren’t just mine they’re something they can relate to, something that reminds them they’re not alone
Honestly, I don’t know I want my fans to answer this one themselves! Hahaha. I’m curious to see how they see me through my music.
