Kountry Mike Perspective on Country Music
I'm Kountry Mike, and I'm a stand-up comedian and country music recording artist. I tour across the United States doing comedy concert fundraisers for various veterans organizations.
My song Country Music, is the story of my life. I am the youngest of five children, so I grew up listening to and loving classic rock. Country music was my least favorite genre growing up, but it's is so mainstream now. My two daughters have been listening to country music for years, and it started to grow on my. Now it's my favorite genre.
The reason I'm doing music is to help America's veterans. I'm striving for a national platform to raise awareness and money to help our vets.
My goal is to be an A-list country music artist, touring worldwide and raising awareness and money to help America's veterans.
My favorite work of art is my song Superheroes, which honors America's troops and veterans.
I tour nationally and I'm a one man show, so the road is lonely. The only way to counteract this is to balance it with my home/family life.
I decided to be a performer when I was nine years old. I met a five year old who was playing drums like a man, and asked him if he wanted to start a band. He later went on to be the drummer for Kenny Chesney.
This song, Country Music, is definitely a country song, but it's also a rock song and it has a hip hop hook.
My original songs are a combination of country, rock and pop, and a few of them are funny as well.
My favorite original is Superheroes because it honors America's troops and veterans.
The most significant lesson I've learned being an artist is this: recording and releasing your music is the easy part. The hardest part is promoting your music. The entertainment business is not easy. It's a 24/7/365 job.
My dream performance is playing the biggest venue on earth.
