Who are you and what do you do?
Answer:

My name is Mike. I am a industrial advisor at the manufacturing plant I work out... And a self proclaimed musician who releases music under the name "Terrified".

How does your background play into this song?
Answer:

This one is  a love letter to horror movies which has been a big part of my life since I was around 5 years old. One of the oldest memories I have is staying up late on Halloween and watching Night of the Living Dead with my father.

What is your earliest memory of listening to music?
Answer:

Before I discovered my own taste in music I use to love listening to oldies and singing along in my father's car.

At what moment in your life did you decide to become an artist / performer?
Answer:

When I was around 15 or so I was in my first band. At 16 we played our first show and from that moment on, I knew I wanted to be a musician for the rest of my life.

What genres does this release play into?
Answer:

I call it alternative metal. But mainly I take a lot of influence from the mid to late 90s era numetal while adding in elements of deathcore.

How has your sound and style evolved in the last 3 years?
Answer:

Honestly I thought I wanted to make softer music... More of a hard rock style but as I started writing I released pretty quickly that heavy is where my heart was.

What themes do you explore throughout your music?
Answer:

It depends... Sometimes my lyrics revolve around my personal life experiences (religion, depression, love)... And in others, like the EP I have releasing on 1.1.2026, I write to tell a story across the different songs while allowing my lyrics to be interpreted differently depending on what is on your mind when you listen.

If you could go on tour with any artist, who would it be and why?
Answer:

It would have to be Korn and System of a Down. Those are my two biggest influences!

How would you describe your favorite artist's music to someone who has never heard them before?
Answer:

Heavy and creepy.

How would you describe your music to someone who has never heard it before?
Answer:

Heavy and creepy.

If you could attend a performance by any artist, dead or alive, who would you choose and why?
Answer:

I was lucky to see Ozzy but I wish I could've seen Black Sabbath as a whole. Black Sabbath was a band that I didn't fully get into until later in life but become a large influence on my writing very quickly. I would also loved to of seen SOAD, they don't have a bad song in their entire discography.

What is your favorite song you have made, and why?
Answer:

Sinister currently simply because I found the sound and style I. Was really going for with it. The upcoming EP feels like a continuation for me and it's been a blast to write and record.

If you could only listen to three artists for the rest of your life, who would you choose and why?
Answer:

Korn, SOAD, and Ghost. There isn't a song in their catalogs that I don't like.

What does your dream performance look like?
Answer:

It's a dream just to get back on the stage and perform. It's been 14 years since my last performance. Whether it be in front of 20 people or 2000 I would have a blast either way.

Who is your dream artist or musician to collaborate with?
Answer:

Of course JD or Serj first come to mind. But I would love to have track with a super creepy bridge or something that Papa V could jump on.

What do you want people to feel when they listen to your music?
Answer:

I want you to feel the need to dance. Music is to take us away to a different place and make us shake our asses.

What is the strangest place where you have discovered a new song?
Answer:

Maybe not strange but I use to go to record stores and buy random albums based on their cover art... I discovered two of my favorite bands that way (The Black Dahlia Murder and Ghost).

What three words would you want your fanbase to use to describe you?
Answer:

That dude's weird.

What is your favorite way of sharing your music?
Answer:

Right now it's posting online for people to discover themselves.

Do you practice? How has your practice changed over time?
Answer:

Oh yea, I have to. As a multi-instrumentalist i have to practice everything regularly if I want to sound semi decent. Especially since I'm not very good in any instrument.

What is the most memorable response you've had to your work?
Answer:

The look I've got to see in some when I play them something and they don't believe it's me.

What is your definition of success as an artist? How do you measure this success?
Answer:

Do you enjoy what you made?

Yes everyone would love for music to be their income but unfortunately we can't all get there. But for myself to feel successful I just need to write something that I can listen to and rock out to.

How do you plan on being a game-changer within your genre?
Answer:

It's more about enjoying the process and output for me, I'm not trying to change the world.

What role do you believe the artist has in our society?
Answer:

Everyone has their own ways to relieve stress and relax and I believe a artist provides an outlet for those seeking it.
