Gilsound Perspective on I Am
My name is Paul Reinozo, producer and composer of the group GILSound. I’m a songwriter and producer who creates music for God and for souls searching for His love. Every melody I write is a bridge between heaven and the human heart.
My background as a Christian artist deeply shaped this song. The Cross and the Crown was inspired by the passion of Christ — His sacrifice, His love, and the victory that came through pain. It’s one of my favorite songs because it reminds me that the crown always follows the cross.
My earliest memory of music is hearing worship songs in church as a child. I remember feeling something powerful, like heaven touching earth through sound. That moment made me fall in love with music forever.
I decided to become an artist when I realized that music was my way to speak with God — and help others feel His presence through sound.
It blends pop, rock, and contemporary Christian music, with emotional vocals and cinematic energy.
My sound has become more atmospheric and powerful — mixing organic instruments with modern production to bring faith to life in every beat.
Faith, love, hope, redemption, and the eternal connection between God and humanity.
I’d go on tour with Chris Tomlin or Elevation Worship — they share the same heart for worship and creativity that moves people closer to God.
It’s like standing under a sky full of light — every note feels like a prayer turned into melody.
My music is spiritual pop/rock uplifting, emotional, and created to remind you that God’s love never fades.
I’d choose to see Jesus Culture live — their music captures both power and tenderness in worship.
The Cross and the Crown, it reminds me of Christ’s passion and victory. It’s my favorite because it carries the message that every cross leads to a crown.
I’d choose Jesus Culture, Chris Tomlin, and Elevation Worship. Their music goes beyond sound — it feels like prayer wrapped in melody. They remind me that music can heal, uplift, and bring heaven closer to earth.
Once I was driving late at night under the rain, and as I looked at the empty streets, a melody came to my heart. It felt like God whispering through the silence that’s when The Cross and the Crown began to take shape. Inspiration always finds me when I’m still enough to listen.
My dream performance would be under the stars, surrounded by people worshiping together — no barriers between stage and audience. Just hearts lifted, voices united, and God’s presence felt in every chord.
I want them to feel hope — that no matter how broken life seems, God is still writing their story. I want them to feel seen, loved, and understood. My music is a reminder that love conquers everything, even pain.

Faithful. Passionate. Real.
Yes, and it’s changed a lot. When I was younger, I practiced for perfection; now I practice for connection. Every rehearsal is a prayer — a way of preparing my heart, not just my voice or instruments.
A message from someone who said my song helped them through a dark time. They told me it reminded them that God hadn’t forgotten them. That moment reminded me why I do this it’s never about fame, it’s about touching lives.
Success for me is hearing that someone felt closer to God through my music. It’s not measured in numbers or awards, but in hearts touched and lives lifted. If even one soul finds light in a song I wrote, then I’ve already succeeded.
