What inspired this song?
Answer:

The song You Got me Going by the band The Kinks and Blue on Black by Kenny Wayne Shepherded had a role to play on background idea for a sound for the song. Mixing with my Nashville roots and the lyrics come from the idea behind my favorite Laurel  Hardy movie Son of the Desert where the plot is the boys lying to their wives and being selfish. Afterwards the wives find out about their lie and give the boys a chance to confess their sins in a way. The idea of looking for the spouse to step up to the plate.

What drives you to continue writing music?
Answer:

My drive is the enjoyable part of creating art and seeing the finished piece move people to emotion and creative thought.

What goal were you trying to achieve while creating this song?
Answer:

My goal was to have a mixture of the Band The Kinks song you got me going now and Blue on Black by Kenny Shepherded and lyrics dealing form the point of view from a husband looking for his wife to save him in his time of need.

What artist or musician is your biggest influence?
Answer:

Growing up in Nashville has had a country inspired approach to music. John Rzeznik and the Goo Goo Dolls song Name had me pick up a guitar and say I want to learn to play guitar and the motivation to sit down and teach myself guitar. While in College I went through my Tori Amos phase. Listening to Tori and interpreting her lyrics has helped me have a spiritual connection in my lyrics. Elvis Presley and his performance of rock mixing with Southern hospitality has politeness involved.

What artist influences you the most lyrically?
Answer:

Tori Amos
