Dennis Palmieri Perspective on Kid Gloves
Hi! I am a singer-songwriter and cabaret poerformer in San Francisco. I regularly performs my “Pop Piano Cabaret” at venues around city offering a fun, lounge experience with timeless favorites from the 70s and 80s, a few jazz standards, and my original songs. You can check out upcoming performace dates on my Instagram. "Avenues" is my debut EP and I am planning a single for mid-2026.
"Avenues" includes four original songs and a laid back cover of Greenday’s “Boulevard of Broken Dreams,” all heavily influenced by the 70s pop and folk that were the sounds of my childhood and have infused the soundtrack of my life ever since.
I tudied piano and voice as a teenager in California and New York, but at the age of 20 put music aside for the pressures of college and career—a choice I always regretted. Decades later, in my early fifties, he found my way back to music, began writing songs, and realized that it’s never too late for that dream.
"Kid Gloves" is fundamentally a pop song with an easy 70s vibe and some country-crossver overtones.
My music reflects the 70s singer songwriters I grew up with. My songs are story songs that reflect my life and experiences. I hope they are relatable and resonate with some people's experiences in their own lives.
