Who are you and what do you do?

Answer:

Hey now... I am Michael Kranicke and I lead the band the Voodoo Kings

How does your background play into this song?

Answer:

I don't know how much my background plays into it but I do like writing a nice pop rock song that has a good hook. I started working this song out on the piano and it eveolved into this.

What is your earliest memory of listening to music?

Answer:

well i remember sitting unde the piano when i was a child listening to how booming it sounded to me....

At what moment in your life did you decide to become an artist / performer?

Answer:

when we killed it at the high school music show... and there were cheers and the band kicked ass... that's when I thought... This is what I want to do.

What genres does this release play into?

Answer:

We are an indie rock band.... we play harder rock tunes, some funk and some straight ahead raock.. all part of the american musical landscape in my opinion.

How has your sound and style evolved in the last 3 years?

Answer:

Well I think that hacing 2 guitars bass and drums is a really simple and effective format for a band... and being able to work within that quartet setup is a good vehicle
