Who are you and what do you do?
Answer:

Names  Antwoine  but most just call me blacko  

I'm a lover of life  and I wanna believe most people are too I'm  currently working  2 jobs  one  is working with trouble youth  and the other is in the service industry 

How does your background play into this song?
Answer:

My mother (RIP)..she ketp a great spirit and energy no matter what she would play her motown  or funk maybe  something she played down home blues and laugh and party with my aunt and me growing  the last of 6 kids and regardless of whatever life hit her with she would smile and tell her boy never stop being happy never give people the satisfaction of seeing you stress so Being a Blackman in this world  having too overcome so much and make it thru  yeah  life has it's up's and  downs  it definitely won't go the way you planned it but thu it all I've tried my best too never let negative  people or energy affect my natural good vibes 

What is your earliest memory of listening to music?
Answer:

My grandparents (RIP) John Lee and fanny ma 🤣 🤣  real old school names right.. But i remember  them playing alot of blues and hims from the church they was going too my family  always  had music playing  aunts my uncle's music music  of choice was parliament and  Donna summer Curtis Mayfield.... just way too many too name growing up 

At what moment in your life did you decide to become an artist / performer?
Answer:

When a very long time friend passed away he always told me I would do music again.. what he would say is teach them without them knowing God....

What genres does this release play into?
Answer:

All like  I feel no matter what u should take the time too give thanks for what we do have and embrace that try and make it better  and keep bad energy away .So there's no lane when it comes too wanted to be terrific 

How has your sound and style evolved in the last 3 years?
Answer:

Simple alot more personal  and reflective  wanting people too think while there's a groove going on i guess what I'm saying is my music is like a audio book with a sound track 

What themes do you explore throughout your music?
Answer:

The contradictions of us as  people and society at large as a whole 

If you could go on tour with any artist, who would it be and why?
Answer:

Marvin gaye 

The soul his imperfections everything  the rang of emotions  he would take you thu yeah definitely  Marvin 

How would you describe your music to someone who has never heard it before?
Answer:

The corner conversation piece the barber shop debate the talk between  a dad and his son about life 

What do you want people to feel when they listen to your music?
Answer:

Like they got a little life lesson behind a banging ass beat

What is your definition of success as an artist? How do you measure this success?
Answer:

Being able  to pass on some knowledge and wisdom seeing myself grow more as I learn more without being under the thumb  of what people  say u can and can't do peace in your square in success

Answer:

Prince from what I've seen he gave it all out on stage always

Yes  in the younger  yrs I was more introverted now I'm writing or practicing outside in parks or walking working out new ideas feeling what life tells me

By being the walking talking embodiment of never give up your dreams

Too uplift and empower people too want a better life not just for themselves but everyone

What has been your scariest experience while pursuing music?
Answer:

Industry people some wanna help some wanna harm like the promoters that steal or these so called marketing company almost had me spending alot for next too nothing 

If you could alter the music industry in any way, what would you change and why?
Answer:

Less smoke and mirrors more true  talent 

Why?? Well not everyone  can get in the NBA or NFL  music should be the same only the best of the best should be able too move the crowd 

How have your other passions reinforced your process of making music?
Answer:

Too find new way 2 tell the story without coming off as talking down but wanting them too feel what I felt  at the time 

Has being an artist made your life lonely? How do you counteract this?
Answer:

I'm married there's no such thing as lonely lol

Answer:

Like seeing couple talking  and wondering how can I make that into a song
