Who are you and what do you do?
Answer:

Mike Redfields (stage name of Michiel Beenen) has been active in the music industry for quite some time. Born and raised in the south of the Netherlands, working on a couple of music events, he has had the experience to create cool projects for everyone to enjoy.

 If you’re a fan of electronic music, you won’t want to miss out on Mike Redfields’ House and Techno tracks. With his unique blend of dance beats, techno kick drums and hypnotic melodies, Mike wants to bring a story with each track, creating an immersive experience, for his listeners. From his intricate percussion to his soaring synths, every element of his music is carefully crafted to take you on a journey through the depths of electronic soundscapes. So why wait? How does your background play into this song?
Answer:

Mike Redfields returns with Cosmic Tunnel III – a relentless hard techno journey that will shake your core and keep you moving from start to finish.

This release picks up right where the last one left off – with pounding kicks, dark atmospheres, and spacey energy that pulls you into another dimension. If you love raw, high-energy techno that hits hard and doesn’t let go… this one’s for you.

What is your earliest memory of listening to music?
Answer:

When I was 6 years old I started listening to Jean Michel Jarre and the Equinox and Oxygene albums, which were a huge inspiration for me to get more involved in producing my own electronic music tracks.

At what moment in your life did you decide to become an artist / performer?
Answer:

After running a few companies in IT, Gaming and Marketing I decided it was time to get back to my roots and started getting involved with music events and producing again back in 2017.

What genres does this release play into?
Answer:

Techno

How has your sound and style evolved in the last 3 years?
Answer:

Further improving my producing skills with new plugins, software, ideas from others, learning a lot through videos and comments from others and listening to a lot of music.

What themes do you explore throughout your music?
Answer:

Space, Time, Love, Life, Earth and how everything is connected.

If you could go on tour with any artist, who would it be and why?
Answer:

Definitely with Adam Beyer or Paul Kalkbrenner.

How would you describe your favorite artist's music to someone who has never heard them before?
Answer:

A combination of electronic music that makes you want to dance and move wherever you are.

How would you describe your music to someone who has never heard it before?
Answer:

If you are up for a combination of house with good vocals or pure techno, you've come to the right place. I work on both sides and try to get all kinds of people interested in my work.

If you could attend a performance by any artist, dead or alive, who would you choose and why?
Answer:

Definitely Michael Jackson, loving so many tracks and the genius behind his writing and producing skills. 

What is your favorite song you have made, and why?
Answer:

Cosmic Tunnel, it embodies exactly how I feel techno music can bring you into a state of trance with bass and synths.

If you could only listen to three artists for the rest of your life, who would you choose and why?
Answer:

Tough question there  are so many good tracks and artists out there, but if I really had to choose it would be Michael Jackson, Belocca and Jean Michel Jarre.

What does your dream performance look like?
Answer:

In a full club or big event with thousands of people going crazy and dancing to the beats.

What do you want people to feel when they listen to your music?
Answer:

Happiness, joy, adventure and love!

How do you plan on being a game-changer within your genre?
Answer:

By releasing tracks that have a story behind it, any idea, a vision to tell something that is going on.
