Who are you and what do you do?
Answer:

Hi! My name is Cynthia Pollard and I am an aspiring 23 year old who loves singing!

Sounds familiar, right?!

I am no different than so many others who are trying to make their way as an artist in a very crowded arena.

If you like what you hear, I hope you will continue to listen to my work, I have several more songs I will be releasing this year, plus an album.

Thank you so much for your time and I hope you have a great day!

How does your background play into this song?
Answer:

So many times I have sat across the room and have noticed someone looking at me.

We exchange glances, perhaps a smile, and at times a wink.

Just being flirty without ever making contact, and most of the time never seeing that person again!

I just thought it would be a cute song from a cute experience!

What genres does this release play into?
Answer:

I would think that it goes with pop and or easy listening.

Thats where I would think it would be found by most listeners that enjoy those catagories.

What is your favorite song you have made, and why?
Answer:

So far, as far as what has been released, "Love Me More", would be something that is special to me. It has just been released this past week and can be found like my other releases on most platforms. If you go to my youtube page, you can see the video.

I think it talks about what most of us desire, to be loved more. I don't know of anyone who wouldn't want that. I am proud of the video because it displays that need or desire in a unique way.

I have another release coming soon, that I am equally proud of called, "Silence".

My favorite so far would be between those two.

What three words would you want your fanbase to use to describe you?
Answer:

Honest, True, Believable.

What do you want people to feel when they listen to your music?
Answer:

I hope enjoyment!

What that is to each individual is going to be unique, based on how they are feeling at the time they are listening to the song.

I want them to feel happy and loved!!!

We all have our bad days, but we all have to get up and move on, I hope my music helps in some way.

If you could only listen to three artists for the rest of your life, who would you choose and why?
Answer:

I can't answer that. There are so many artists that I enjoy listening to, I could never break it down to just three. That would be impossible for me.

What is the most memorable response you've had to your work?
Answer:

A smile.

When you are performing and you see people smiling back at you, that is everything!

What is your earliest memory of listening to music?
Answer:

There has always been music played in my home. My mother always listens to music.

So, I guess the answer to this would be before I could walk or talk!

At what moment in your life did you decide to become an artist / performer?
Answer:

I have always enjoyed singing, but never thought I would ever go farther than just singing around the house.

I met Jim, the producer of my music, in a book store over a year ago while I was looking at the music section. I asked him a question, and we hit it off!

We would talk occassionally and we had a mutual friend that heard he was looking to start a music label.

And that is how I am where I am today!

What jobs have you done other than being an artist?
Answer:

A barista! Hasn't everyone?! Lol!

Has being an artist made your life lonely? How do you counteract this?
Answer:

Never lonely! I have met so many amazing people! Everyone is so helpful!

What is the most significant lesson you've learned through being an artist?
Answer:

To be prepared for those days where nothing seems to go right. No matter how hard you work, some things just don't work out.

Not everyone is going to like your work, and that is okay, just keep trying to get better and move on.
