C. Arias Perspective on 15 Años De Amor

My goal as an artist is to create music that’s emotionally honest, culturally rooted, and timeless. I want every song I release to feel personal, whether it’s celebrating love, growth, or the bonds we share as family and community. After years of writing and producing for others, I’m finally telling my own story, and my hope is that it resonates with people in real, lasting ways.

Yes! I make music to connect. Music has always been my way of expressing what words alone can’t. Whether it’s love, loss, joy, or pride, I believe songs have the power to mark life’s most meaningful moments. The chance to write music that becomes part of someone else’s story; that’s what keeps me going. That’s why I do this.

The most significant lesson I’ve learned is that authenticity matters more than perfection. Early in my career, I focused so much on getting everything “just right”, but what really connects with people is honesty. When I stopped hiding behind the scenes and started telling my own story through music, that’s when things began to resonate. Being real is what makes the art meaningful.

I’d love to be compared to Marc Anthony, for his commitment to keeping Latin music styles like salsa alive with passion and power; Prince Royce, for how he bridges bachata and pop in a fresh, accessible way; and Justin Bieber, for his ability to deliver emotional music with modern, high-quality production that connects globally.

I believe there’s a song and/or artistry hidden in every moment. You just have to be willing to listen for it.

My other passions and life experiences have all shaped how I make music. I was born into a Latin family and raised in Canada, moving between Spanish and English worlds. That duality gave me a deep appreciation for culture and connection. Studying jazz at Capilano University opened my ears to musical depth, while growing up in Christian churches and worship groups taught me the power of music to move hearts. All of that lives in the way I write, sing, and produce today.

I've done it all, from restaurants to labor jobs, retail to rideshare... I've done what I've had to

I plan to be a game-changer by bringing emotional depth, cultural intention, and high production value to music that often gets overlooked in the mainstream. With “15 Años de Amor,” I’m aiming to create modern, timeless songs that serve real-life moments — like quinceañeras — with heart and excellence. I want to show that Latin music can honor tradition while still pushing boundaries sonically and emotionally.

I want people to feel seen, understood, and emotionally moved. Whether it’s a song about family, love, or personal growth, I hope my music reminds listeners of what truly matters. I want them to feel something deep; to connect it to a memory, a person, or a moment in their life. And know that the song was made with honesty and heart.

My dream collaboration would be with David Foster. His ability to craft timeless, emotionally powerful music across genres is unmatched. I grew up admiring how he brings out the best in vocalists and creates arrangements that elevate a song into something unforgettable. Working with him would be a masterclass in musical storytelling, and an honor.
