Signs of Life was inspired by the two sides of me! The side that is a new music artist, lead vocalist, lyricist and arranger, the side that played collegiate soccer and is now a youth soccer coach with many licenses to coach. I also strive to create music that operates on three levels.
The first of three was the title inspired by my favorite rock band, Pink Floyd and their more obscure single, Signs of Life, but I also wanted it to be a song using a soccer phrase, thus Signs of Life is a phrase that can mean coming back from a match where you are behind and there is still time on the clock to tie and ultimately win. The second is the idea of a new relationship, a new beginning where your person is helping you to feel like there is hope in relationships and you are waking up this feeling, with this person and the wondering about the possiblities of the next chapter of potentially being together forever.
The third way the song works is as a meditative sound. The vocals are not overdone and to mesmerize the listener, to feel etheral throughout with the supernatural spiritual use of the synthesizer in the composition and the mesmerizing refrain of you're mine, you're mine, you're mine it can translate to an enlightened way of repeating a desire to create a reality in your life!
Signs of Life landed at #1 on radio.fm100 for eleven consecutive weeks and just recently dropped to #3 the week of August 4th.
Enjoy the levels and I hope you love this single!
