Who are you and what do you do?
Answer:

Lightbulb The Entertainer is my performance name, my real name is DeAngelo Minifield. I live in Monroe, Louisana better known as FunRoe. Music has been an integral part of my life ever since I can remember. Pulling out pots and pans using them as drums, that was my routine until my dad brought me a real drum set. It was on after that in the best way. I write and produce music in all genres, just tell me what you like and I can make it happen!

If you want to connect with me, email me at minifielddeangelo@gmail.com

I would love to hear from you!

What is your earliest memory of listening to music?
Answer:

The earliest memory I have is listening to music in my dad's car. He played everything "A Tribe Called Quest", "The Roots", "Newclues", PFunk, Prince, and various jazz artists. He seldom listened to the radio, so it was always a musical journey in dad's car.

At what moment in your life did you decide to become an artist / performer?
Answer:

I started making beats in high school, so I was always interested in creating something I could groove to. After I graduated from high school, I decided to attend Grambling University to major in music.  It was there that I learned to play various instruments, and I experimented with different time signatures. Being a member of The World Famous Grambling State University Marching Band exposed me to music on a regional and national level. The different styles of musical arrangements and interpretations just blew my mind. My band brother brought me a mini daw keyboard and that really started me on my way to learning how to create beats better, and later on entire musical productions. Music is like chess, you never stop learning how to play better...and you never stop buying equipment.

What genres does this release play into?
Answer:

To me, it is just music. Mostly, record companies put labels on songs to put them in certain categories mostly to divide the listeners. When I hear this song, I just think it's a Vibe...so Vibe Music, which is not a category yet.

How has your sound and style evolved in the last 3 years?
Answer:

I have gotten better at what I do in terms of mixing and mastering the tracks. When you are your own creator and producer, you are also your own engeneer too!

I have a lot of instrumentation on the new ELP and getting the levels right for each instrument was a tremendous challenge. I can make musical tracks all day, but the mixing and mastering was my Achilles Heel due to the lack of equipement and other sore thumbs.

Creating this song and the entire ELP  was a vibe because it just came out so naturally like breathing or walking. Every element just fell into place like peaces to a puzzle.
