Name three artists you’d like to be compared to.
Answer:

Yeat, Young Thug, XXXtentacion

Do you have one main reason driving you to continue making music?
Answer:

The entire reason I make music is to ensure my family is taken care of for the rest of their lives. So the people I love can enjoy their lives.

How does your background play into this song?
Answer:

So my wife actually bought us a brand new 740i back when she was selling weed because she thought it would help my music career. So this one isn't just about showing off it is about her support and believing in what I'm doing.

What genres does this release play into?
Answer:

Trap, Rage Rap, Hip-Hop

What is your favorite way of sharing your music?
Answer:

I always like to drop it on SoundCloud first. That's where I started and that's where I still test the real ones.

What is your earliest memory of listening to music?
Answer:

Before I understood a single lyric, music was already speaking to me. I’d play my dad's Nirvana CDs on loop, feeling everything. I didn’t know the words yet—but I understood the emotion. The sound hit deeper than language ever could.

At what moment in your life did you decide to become an artist / performer?
Answer:

The first time I heard Slime Season 2 by Young Thug.

Who are you and what do you do?
Answer:

lastNAME Los Angeles’s fearless sound sculptor and co-founder of lastGANG RECORDS. He doesn’t just make beats, he builds worlds. Auto-Tune hooks that soar over underground, DIY drums, each track a cinematic journey through grit, dreams, and raw ambition. From late-night studio marathons to packed house shows, lastNAME lives and breathes music. He made his mark collaborating with visionaries in the underground scene, now this is his time.

If you could go on tour with any artist, who would it be and why?
Answer:

XXXtentacion, I actually did have the privilege of touring with him and the rest of Member's Only. It was an experience I wouldn't trade for anything.

What is your favorite song you have made, and why?
Answer:

Run Away, not because of the sound but because of the story... my wife married me after she heard that song.

Who is your dream artist or musician to collaborate with?
Answer:

Young Thug

What do you want people to feel when they listen to your music?
Answer:

Good.

How has your sound and style evolved in the last 3 years?
Answer:

Over the past three years, my sound has evolved from raw, underground energy to a more refined and intentional style that still hits just as hard.

When I first started making music, I was learning everything from YouTube video tutorials. I had to do this, and I didn’t care how clean it sounded. That early sound was gritty, emotional, and heavy on pain. It was survival mode. That’s what connected with fans first.

Now, I’ve grown—not just as a rapper, but as a songwriter and storyteller. The influence of West Coast hip hop, emotional trap, and car culture is still there, but the execution is sharper. I’ve learned how to control the silence, build tension, and deliver each bar with more weight.

If you’ve been riding with me since the beginning, you’ll hear the difference—less chaos, more focus. The hunger’s still there, but now it’s calculated. I’m not just reacting anymore. I’m building. This is what happens when an emerging hip hop artist turns pressure into purpose.

What themes do you explore throughout your music?
Answer:

At the core of my music, I’m always exploring pain, pressure, loyalty, ambition, and the tension between survival and success.

A lot of what I write comes from real-life experiences, loss, betrayal, mental battles, and the long road to self-control. My early tracks were about trying to make sense of chaos. Now, they’re about making moves through it. There’s always this balance between grief and grind, trauma and elevation.

Whether it’s a high-speed anthem like Big Body, or something more introspective like Run Away, my songs speak to people who’ve been counted out but kept pushing.

I talk about the streets, but also about healing. I flex, but it’s always coming from a place of survival. You’ll hear themes of resilience, trust issues, getting it out the mud, and proving people wrong without saying a word.

How would you describe your favorite artist's music to someone who has never heard them before?
Answer:

YOUNG THUG

If you’ve never heard Thug, imagine music that breaks every rule—and still hits harder than anything else.

He’s not just rapping, he’s bending his voice like an instrument, turning pain into melody and chaos into style. Thug’s music blends trap energy, avant-garde creativity, and emotion in a way nobody else can copy. One minute he’s vulnerable, the next he’s unstoppable. And somehow, it all sounds effortless.

Thug taught me that music doesn’t need to fit in a box. It can be weird, wild, and still speak the truth. He’s a pioneer of melodic trap, Atlanta hip hop, and what people now call “genreless rap.” But more than that, he’s fearless with his sound and message.

He showed artists like me how to tell our stories without limits and how to turn pain, pressure, and personality into something unforgettable.

How would you describe your music to someone who has never heard it before?
Answer:

My music is what happens when emotional trap, street ambition, and unfiltered truth collide. If you’ve ever been through something and had to keep it pushing without talking about it, that’s the energy I’m bringing.

It’s high-energy, heavy-hearted, and unapologetic. You’ll hear the rage, but also the power. I mix melodic flows with gritty bars, blending West Coast energy with a raw, underground sound that still feels cinematic. My tracks go from relationship therapy to full-blown anthems.

If you like music that speaks to survival, loyalty, loss, and leveling up this is for you. My sound isn’t just rap. It’s a mindset. It’s movement.

If you could attend a performance by any artist, dead or alive, who would you choose and why?
Answer:

If I could attend any performance by any artist, it would be XXXTentacion. His raw energy, emotional vulnerability, and genre-defying sound made every show unforgettable. He connected deeply with fans through pain, truth, and authenticity—something rare and powerful in music.

If you could only listen to three artists for the rest of your life, who would you choose and why?
Answer:

If I could only listen to three artists for the rest of my life, I’d choose Young Thug, XXXTentacion, and Yeat. Young Thug’s creativity and ever evolving sound make his music timeless. XXXTentacion brought unmatched emotion and vulnerability, blending genres in a way that still resonates. Yeat pushes boundaries with futuristic production and unique flows, constantly innovating. Together, they represent the kind of emotion, originality, and the future of hip-hop I see, making them essential for any lifelong playlist.

What does your dream performance look like?
Answer:

My dream performance is a high-energy, immersive experience that blends music, visuals, and emotion. Picture a packed, dimly lit venue with a raw underground vibe—LED walls, live instruments, and heavy 808s shaking the floor. I’m performing center stage, feeding off the crowd's energy as they scream every lyric back. Surprise guest appearances from artists like Young Thug, XXXTentacion (in spirit), and Yeat elevate the show into something unforgettable. It’s not just a concert—it’s a cinematic, emotional journey that fans feel in their chest and never forget.

What is the strangest place where you have discovered a new song?
Answer:

The strangest place I ever discovered a new song was in a random YouTube comment thread under a video that had nothing to do with music. Someone dropped a link, and out of curiosity, I clicked it. What I found was an underground track that completely changed my playlist. It was unfiltered, unexpected, and hit harder than anything on the charts. Moments like that remind me how powerful and unpredictable music discovery can be.

What three words would you want your fanbase to use to describe you?
Answer:

Authentic, fearless, visionary. I want my fanbase to see me as someone who stays true to my story, takes creative risks, and brings a clear vision to everything I create. Those three words reflect the energy I put into my music and the connection I aim to build with every listener.

Do you practice? How has your practice changed over time?
Answer:

Of course, I practice every day. I'm constantly experimenting with new sounds and ideas, pushing myself to evolve. Over time, my practice has become more intentional. I study YouTube tutorials, pick up new techniques, and apply them right away. It keeps my sound fresh and my creativity sharp.

What is the most memorable response you've had to your work?
Answer:

The most memorable response I’ve ever had to my work was when I first put Love Hard Fall Fast out.

What is your definition of success as an artist? How do you measure this success?
Answer:

Success as an artist means building a legacy that connects with people on a real level. It is not just about streams or money it is about impact influence and staying true to your vision. I measure success by how deeply my music resonates how many lives it touches and whether I am creating the life I dreamed of for myself and my family through my art.

How do you plan on being a game-changer within your genre?
Answer:

I plan on being a game changer in my genre by constantly pushing creative boundaries and blending styles in new ways. I want to bring fresh sounds and real emotion that haven’t been heard before. Staying authentic and taking risks will help me inspire others and redefine what the genre can be.

What role do you believe the artist has in our society?
Answer:

The artist plays a vital role in our society as a storyteller, truth-teller, and catalyst for change. Artists give voice to emotions and experiences that many can relate to but cannot express. Through music and creativity, they inspire, unite communities, and challenge the status quo. In a world that constantly changes, artists shape culture and influence how people see themselves and each other. Their work sparks conversations and drives movements, making art an essential force for connection and progress. Artists shape the very framework for the world we live in.

Name a song that best represents success to you, and why?
Answer:

A song that best represents success to me is "Started From the Bottom" by Drake. It’s a global anthem about overcoming struggles and rising to the top through hard work and determination. The track’s message inspires millions to keep grinding and celebrate their journey to success.

What has been your scariest experience while pursuing music?
Answer:

The scariest moment in my music journey was when I first told everyone I was actually going to be a rapper as my career. Putting that goal out there meant facing doubt, judgment, and uncertainty. But that fear pushed me to work harder and prove that my dreams were real and worth chasing.

What has been your most embarassing moment while pursuing music?
Answer:

Looking back, my most embarrassing moment in my music career was sharing early songs that now sound terrible to me. I genuinely thought those tracks were fire, but hearing them now makes me cringe. Every artist has those early rough drafts, it’s part of the journey to growth, improvement, and finding your true sound. Embracing those moments shows real dedication and hustle in the music game.

If you could alter the music industry in any way, what would you change and why?
Answer:

If I could change one thing about the music industry, it would be to create more opportunities for independent artists to get fair recognition and support. Too often, talent gets overlooked because of politics or big budgets. I want the industry to value creativity and hustle over connections, so every artist has a real shot at success based on their work and passion. That change would make music more diverse, authentic, and inspiring for everyone.

What jobs have you done other than being an artist?
Answer:

Before focusing on my music career, I worked a variety of jobs that helped shape who I am. I was a professional celebrity hairdresser, a loan officer, and a sales associate at Nordstrom in women’s shoes and handbags. I also worked as a sales associate at Zara, a personal trainer, and even managed a surf shop. Each role taught me valuable skills and work ethic that I bring into my music journey today.

Has being an artist made your life lonely? How do you counteract this?
Answer:

I don’t see my life as lonely because I love the solitude that comes with being an artist. Making music is my happiness and my main focus. I’ve learned to be comfortable with myself and my own thoughts, embracing alone time instead of fearing it. I don’t feel the need to surround myself with distractions—real creativity often comes from quiet reflection. This mindset helps me stay focused, inspired, and true to my art.

How would you define having an artistic outlook on life?
Answer:

Having an artistic outlook on life means seeing creativity in everything I do. Everything around me is an opportunity for expression and imagination. Even when I have to lie or come up with silly excuses to get out of situations, it’s still a creative process. Creativity goes beyond music or art, it’s a mindset that shapes how I approach life, problem-solving, and self-expression. This outlook fuels my inspiration and keeps my work fresh and authentic.

Which mediums of art do you most identify with?
Answer:

The mediums of art I most identify with are music, drawing, and fashion design. Music is my main form of expression, where I bring my emotions and stories to life. Drawing helps me visualize ideas and explore creativity on a different level. Fashion design lets me blend style and identity, creating looks that reflect who I am. Together, these art forms shape my unique creative vision and inspire everything I do.

What is the most significant lesson you've learned through being an artist?
Answer:

The most significant lesson I’ve learned as an artist is that this is a marathon, not a sprint. The journey is never-ending, and there’s no finish line. I’ve learned not to set rigid expectations for myself because doing that risks giving up just before my breakthrough. Staying patient, focused, and persistent is key to lasting success and growth.

What is your overarching goal as an artist?
Answer:

My overarching goal as an artist is to create music that connects deeply with people, inspires real emotion, and stands the test of time. I want to change the world. I want my music to make the world better. By pushing creative boundaries and staying true to my story, I hope to influence culture, spark positive change, and empower others to chase their dreams and believe in something bigger than themselves.

How have your other passions reinforced your process of making music?
Answer:

Music is my biggest passion, and it’s the foundation for everything else I do in life. It doesn’t just influence my process...it is the process.

What is your favorite work of art?
Answer:

My relationship with art is always evolving, it changes with how I feel and what I’m experiencing in the moment. What speaks to me one day might not hit the same the next. With so much incredible art in the world,  narrowing it down to just one would be selling the rest short. That constant shift is what makes art so powerful.
