RoboRob001 Perspective on Gummy Worms
Greetings,
I am Rob, also known as RoboRob001. I reside in Missouri, USA, and am over fifty. I just recently embarked on the exciting and transformative journey of music composition. Traditionally, my creative pursuits have been rooted in more visual fields like drawing and digital art, with some recent work in the literary domain,
What brings me here is the recent emergence and accessibility of AI-driven music technology. Opening doors, I never thought accessible and giving me a new platform for self-expression. As someone who 'couldn't carry a tune,' AI music has spurred a flurry of creativity within me.
Because of that, my art now extends beyond the songs themselves and onto YouTube, where I feature my songs in various videos. It's a great time to be alive and share my creations. I hope you enjoy them because, in the end, good music is what matters most.
When discussing the song 'Gummy Worms,' it can be described as a whimsical and lighthearted composition. My affection for candy rivals, or perhaps even surpasses, that of others, and it was thats fondness that served as the initial spark for the song's creation. The primary motivation behind it was to attract more views on my YouTube channel, which, while admittedly straightforward, doesn't detract from the song's charm and infectious rhythm.
Despite its simplistic origins, 'Gummy Worms' captivates listeners, with many unable to tear themselves away after just one listen. It's like eating the candy itself, as a bag of Gummy worms doesn't last long and leaves you wanting more. So I think the song celebrates the simple joys of life without any real deeper, elaborate meaning.
During my early years, music didn't hold a particularly significant place in my life. It wasn't until my teenage years that I began to develop an appreciation, primarily due to the timeless allure of classical 60s rock. I think some of that had to do with my being on the autistic spectrum and the hidden complexities of music escaping me.
That sense of detachment sometimes makes me feel like an outsider when surrounded by individuals with extensive and varied musical backgrounds. As far as my personal instrument experience, I play a little piano (very, very little saldy) and, like every other American, was taught to play the recorder (a small flute), rather pooly. Priobubly Oh Christmas tree or something.
Despite all that, in my later years, I discovered a strength for writing, which allowed me to convey messages through the written word. This became my occupation as a novelist. Utilizing my talent, I create music on multiple levels, marrying lyrical depth with musical expression and sometimes far deeper meanings that resonate personally and universally.
I've always been an artist, though, primarily outside of music. Instead, I used my talents in the visual arts, particularly in drawing and digital art creations. My dedication to that enabled me to produce numerous pieces, some of which I've shared with the broader public through platforms like Cafepress and Redbubble. Platforms that allowed my work to reach a diverse audience.
Despite that, my foray into music creation is relatively recent, having only begun within the last year or so. Again, if it weren't for AI, I wouldn't be here, hence my alternate persona, RoboRob001. The transition from visual to auditory art forms has required me to adapt and learn new techniques, broadening my creative horizons and offering me fresh perspectives.
Exploring the interplay between sound and emotion is therapeutic, as I struggle with that and feelings in general. So, I continue developing my skills and am eager to see how far they can take me. Ultimately, I want my songs to connect with others, through the meduim.
If you're talking 'Gummy Worms, ' it's Pop, Bubblegum Pop. I watch a lot of anime. The reason for that is that I once had a stroke that left me unable to process regular TV very well. Because of that, I turned to cartoons for my entertainment, specifically anime. I've since recovered as much as one does from such a life-changing experience. But during that time, I developed a genuine love for anime, including their J-pop music intros and other cute things.
By the way, if you like anime, check out Apothecary Diaries, which is excellent.
Aging, feeling useless, and uncertainty about the future are the big ones, I think. I also do some love or longing, but then I think all musicians deal with that topic.
I would hate going on tour. Traveling to unfamiliar places causes me a great deal of anxiety. I'd stay home and send the music. That's one of the reasons AI as a production tool is perfect for me. It allows me to create a layer between myself and my fans. It's not that I dislike you; it's me. I have a lot of little idiosyncrasies that make the traditional music distribution route impossible for me.
I like Zog's Bar. It has a good beat and is fun. But if you're talking strictly quality, I have a country song I haven't released yet that will knock your socks off. It's like what country used to be like in the early '70s. I just haven't gotten to it yet, as I wanted to build up a bigger following to give it the recognition it deserves.
Eclectic is the best word for my music, as I create a wide variety. It's also the slower you can understand the lyrics kind of music. That means I won't be doing rap or things like screamo, etc. It could be an age thing or something else; either way, I only make music I like or occasionally a request by someone I know.
If it's three words, it must be: Worth listening to.
I would also take: Fun, enteratining, enjoyable
Songs are stories; like any good tales, they should convey a message to the reader or listener, imparting wisdom or insight. So, as an artist, my goal is like every artist's. Namly, to leave behind something that can touch another's life and help them on their journey.
I didn't know this was going to be a resume... (smile)
I've been a digital artist
I've worked food
I've worked education
I've worked medical
I've worked in construction
I've worked many other jobs. Sadly, I only discovered writing in my later years, as I had quite the talent for it. To that end, I suppose I can also put Music Producer down now. And probably marketing as well.
Despite the world's disdain for art, it needs it, and a society that moves away from such expression is doomed. You're seeing this in China right now with their large poppulation of young people who refuse to do anything. That's becasue they have no inherant beliefs to fall back on meaning they're a lost generation without mental support.
I started this journey to help pay for my daughter's house. So far, I've invested a lot more than I've made. However, I've found that I'm interested in music, as it gives me an outlet and makes me feel alive again. If it proves profitable or not, well, we'll just have to wait and see about that.
I keep a list of song ideas, which I add to as new ones pop into my head. As for the weirdest, I have this song called Frog, Fish, Rocks, which was like a cursed project. Everything that could go wrong with that one did. I even had to cancel my first publication of it as I had misspelled Frog Frod. Anyway, it was a complete mess. Still, though, I find myself returning to that song and think it might have crossed into the so bad it's good territory. IDK. It'll be released in a few weeks. (4-22-25 date of writing)
Of course, I want to become a billionaire. Short of that, I have to settle with just having an audience. It's like with my writing, too, as I was surprised when it took off. Tens of thousands of people have read my novels. That sounds impressive, but it isn't as much as you think. However, by the same accord, it's not nothing either. So, hopefully, my music will get there someday.
