What is your overarching goal as an artist?
Answer:

My overarching goal as an artist is to be effective, not famous. Touching 1,000 lives is worth so much more tahn touching $1,000.

Do you have one main reason driving you to continue making music?
Answer:

It’s who I am. If I settle for being anything else that someone else wants me to be, it’ll mean that I'm satisfied, and if I'm satisfied with myself, that means I’ve stopped growing.

What is the most significant lesson you've learned through being an artist?
Answer:

In the famous words of 'Nipsey Hussle' "It's  a marathon not a sprint". You’ve gotta treat it like a garden with seeds that you just planted.

If you keep watering the seeds regularly, eventually you’ll have a harvest of fruit bushes and apple trees.

Name three artists you’d like to be compared to.
Answer:

Michael Jackson for the voice, Frank Sinatra for the class, and Freddie Mercury for the energy.

If all those were food and they came together it’d be a medium rare steak, baked potatoes, and sauteed mushrooms...to put it in lamer terms of course cause i like to eat.

Which mediums of art do you most identify with?
Answer:

I can never write absolutely anything without a guitar or a piano even if it’s not in the final product.

As a sword is to a Samurai, they are both an extension of myself and of my artistry.

What is your favorite work of art?
Answer:

There's something melancholic and mesmerizing about the Mona Lisa.

Its nature is so simple but the way the darker colors bring balance through dimming the beauty element in it makes it all inspiring.

How would you define having an artistic outlook on life?
Answer:

I honestly see everything in an artistic light because I quite literally can’t help myself.

Every single thing that i go through, hear, or see is another thought to put in my art somewhere along this beautiful journey we call life.

Has being an artist made your life lonely? How do you counteract this?
Answer:

Contrary to the nature of this question, I actually feel more at home and less lonely when I make music or when I'm on stage.

Music is the way I counteract being in a poor mental health space because its my most reliable source of therapy. It's like a dopamine flurry with a cherry on top.

How have your other passions reinforced your process of making music?
Answer:

I think it always pushes me to work harder towards my goals as an artist.

I don't see myself doing anything else for the rest of my life so when I’m not doing it I constantly find  a way to do it.

What jobs have you done other than being an artist?
Answer:

I’ve been a fast food worker and a security officer.

If you could alter the music industry in any way, what would you change and why?
Answer:

For the most part I wouldn’t of changed anything in retrospect because there are many amazing musicians that came out of the way things went.

What has been your most embarassing moment while pursuing music?
Answer:

I've had a few of those but the one that sticks out like a sore thumb is when my guitar stopped working on stage..I've had a few of those but the one that sticks out like a sore thumb is when my guitar stopped working on stage..

How do you plan on being a game-changer within your genre?
Answer:

Simple. Not being afraid to spread positivity by being me as a person and as an artist and not what anyone else wants me to do or think.

What has been your scariest experience while pursuing music?
Answer:

In all honesty, being homeless. It rebuilt me and destroyed me as a person so much that it almost altered my creative light for the worst.

Name a song that best represents success to you, and why?
Answer:

That song for me is "Viva La Vida" by 'Coldplay' for both positive and negative reasons. It captures the idea of great power coming with great responsibility.

Just as hard as it was for your empire to rise, it can all be taken from you in an instant, so then that's when you want to start to appreciate it. It's a musical piece that every artist should listen to at least once

What role do you believe the artist has in our society?
Answer:

I see that as a trick quesion. There are a few roles the artist has in society. To create, inspire and unite.

Answer:

What is the most memorable response you've had to your work?
Answer:

This one I felt in my gut. I had this one young lady tell me that my music made her cry while she was pregnant.

I'm thinking "Wow! If she tell that kid one of my songs touched her heart"  That means my music will be "timeless" and I feel music should be a lifetime enjoyment.

Do you practice? How has your practice changed over time?
Answer:

I do, now more than ever. Every musician should. I've had to get vocal lessons and always strive to master each of the 6 instruments I "play."

As long as I continue to "master" my instruments I'll always strive for excellence.
