Who are you and what do you do?

Answer:

Everyone calls me Base or Basé, I'm an artist from Las Vegas and I've been doing music (professionally) since the age of 15. I also edit as well as shoot my own content and I am the captain of local Vegas label, The Lions Lair Corportation, or The LLC.

How does your background play into this song?

Answer:

It goes into the truth of an independent artist that has to be there own promoter, their own engineer, videographer, photographer, all of these things that make us outcasts special. Not only that, this song is a conversation between two people. Me vs. The version of me that made it, who very much so exists, and continuously tells me to keep going.

What jobs have you done other than being an artist?

Answer:

I've done food handling, currently in warehouse work, and I also did call center work. To this day, I know my purpose is more than these 9 to 5 jobs.

At what moment in your life did you decide to become an artist / performer?

Answer:

It was after I heard Lil Wayne and Notorious BIG when I was a kid. Besides that the voices were iconic, but just the fact that a story didn't just have to be in a book or a magazine. That feeling don't only have to be expressed to a therapist. That I can share with the world...what I'm truly feeling. Like what I did on Morning.
