Who are you and what do you do?

My name is Denequia. I am a 2x's charting R&B/ gospel & pop songstress.

What is your earliest memory of listening to music?

Answer:

The first song I ever fell in love with was Whitney Houston " I wanna dance with somebody ".

How has your sound and style evolved in the last 3 years?

Answer:

I'm such a versatile songwriter. I love switching up genres depending on the message in the song . I've learned to try new ways of expressing myself through music . It has definitely helped me grow my audience.

How would you describe your music to someone who has never heard it before?

Answer:

Unique, energetic & bold

What is your definition of success as an artist? How do you measure this success?

If I could impact one person that's good enough for me . To me it's not about being praised I create music that's relatable. I stand with you via my music through your journey of healing .

What has been your scariest experience while pursuing music?

Answer:

Being approached by men who wanted ne to do things to ge into the industry. Me walking away was for my integrity the interaction was very scary for me . But it taught me a lesson always bring my husband to meetings or a close male friends can trust .

How do you plan on being a game-changer within your genre?

Answer:

By just simply being myself .
