Vylo The Artist Perspective on Long Way

I am a music artist/ producer and dj. i create music with a focus on creating for other artist who aspire to make it in the music industry.

My journey in music started when I was just 13, recording on Audacity with a small, beat-up laptop. Back then, it was all about experimenting and finding my sound. As I grew, I immersed myself in the music scene as both a DJ and producer, all while perfecting my skills in the booth. Every experience, whether in the studio or on stage, sharpened my craft and fueled my passion.
Over the years, my life experiences have shaped the type of music I create. I focus on making music that motivates young artists and resonates with everyday people, lifting their spirits and reminding them that they’re not alone in their struggles. This drive led me and my ace, SolidoBandz, to develop a unique sound we call "life-saving music." Our goal is to create tracks that speak to the soul, offering hope and inspiration to those who need it most.
Music saved us, and now we’re using our platform to do the same for others.

Music has always been more than just sound to me—it’s a message, a movement, and a reflection of real life. Growing up, I was deeply influenced by legends like Tupac and Nas. Songs like Keep Ya Head Up and If I Ruled the World taught me the power of storytelling and how music can uplift, inspire, and paint a vision for a better future. Their words resonated with me, shaping how I approach my own music with depth and purpose.
At the same time, I stay connected to the energy of modern artists like Future and Lil Durk, who bring raw emotion and real-life struggles to their music in a way that speaks to today’s generation. They show that authenticity still holds weight in the industry.
Beyond the global influences, I also draw inspiration from Baltimore’s own, like Lor Scoota. He represented the city’s grind, struggle, and resilience—something I carry into my music. His impact proved that you can touch lives and make a difference through your art, and that’s exactly what I strive to do with the music me and SolidoBandz create.
I bridge these influences to craft a sound that’s both reflective and forward-moving—something real, relatable, and, most importantly, life-saving music.

I knew I was destined to be an artist the very first time I stepped into a studio with a group of friends. The energy, the creativity, and the raw feeling of putting my thoughts into the mic—it was like nothing I had ever experienced. But what really hooked me was hearing myself played back for the first time. I was addicted to that feeling.
From that moment on, I couldn’t stop. I kept pushing myself, experimenting, and sharpening my craft, constantly chasing this sound I had been hearing in my mind. I knew I had something special, and I wasn’t going to stop until I brought that sound to life.
Years later, that drive has led me to where I am today, creating music that not only reflects my journey but also uplifts and inspires others. This sound—what me and SolidoBandz call “life-saving music”—is a reflection of that passion I discovered on day one.

If I had to define my sound, I’d say it lives somewhere between soul and hip-hop with a heavy trap bounce. My lyrical content carries the heart and depth of soul music—real stories, raw emotions, and a message that resonates with people going through real-life situations. But sonically, I blend that with the energy of hip-hop and the hard-hitting bounce of trap, giving my music that undeniable edge.
What makes my sound unique is the cross-genre approach I take. I incorporate smooth melodies that draw listeners in while layering intricate breakdowns that keep the vibe dynamic and unpredictable. It’s more than just music—it’s a fusion that reflects my journey, my influences, and the sound I’ve been fine-tuning over the years.

In my music, I dive deep into real-life experiences and emotions. I explore themes that people can truly relate to—love, heartbreak, life’s obstacles, and the outcomes of the decisions we make. I’m all about capturing those highs and lows, whether it’s the pain of losing someone, the joy of finding love, or the lessons learned when life throws challenges your way.
But it’s not all heavy—I also bring in party vibes to balance it out. Life is about feeling everything, and sometimes that means celebrating and letting loose. I use my music as a space where emotions can be felt fully, whether it’s reflecting on hard times, growing through emotional intelligence, or just vibing out and enjoying the moment.

If I had to describe my music to someone who’s never heard it, I’d say it’s a blend of soulful, upbeat, and chill vibes. My sound carries the depth and emotion of soul, the energy and bounce that keeps you moving, and a laid-back feel that lets you just vibe out. It’s the perfect balance between reflecting on life and enjoying the moment.
Whether you’re looking for something to lift your spirits or something to vibe to after a long day, my music has a little bit of both. And that’s what makes it “life-saving music.”

I want my music to feel like an escape from reality—a space where people can lose themselves, forget their problems, and just vibe out. But at the same time, I want it to be more than just an escape. I create music that also locks you in and gets you focused, whether it’s on your grind, your goals, or just pushing through life’s challenges.
My sound blends that perfect balance of being something you can relax and drift away to, but also something that hits deep enough to motivate and inspire.

Consistent, Quality, Fearless

For me, success isn’t just about numbers, streams, or fame. Success is creating music that has a real, positive impact on someone’s life. If my music can inspire, motivate, or help someone get through a tough time, then I know I’m doing what I was meant to do.
I want people to feel something when they listen—whether it’s finding strength during hard times, staying focused on their goals, or just escaping the stress of life for a moment. That’s the kind of influence I aim for

I plan on making an impact by delivering music that blends intricate flows with catchy bridges and hooks that not only grab attention but also send powerful messages and paint vivid pictures through sound. I want my listeners to feel like they’re stepping into a story—experiencing every emotion, lesson, and moment I put into my music.
My goal is to create songs that resonate on a deeper level, where the lyrics hit home and the melodies stick with you long after the track ends. This approach allows me to inspire, motivate, and connect with people in a way that goes beyond just entertainment.

I believe an artist’s purpose is to give a voice to the voiceless—to make sure the people whose stories often go unheard are finally able to speak up. Music has the power to connect people, letting them know they are not alone in their struggles, joys, or dreams. By sharing my own journey and the experiences of others through my music, I hope to create a space where people can feel seen, understood, and connected to something greater than themselves.
In a world where so many voices are overlooked, being an artist means using my platform to amplify those voices—reminding everyone that they are part of something bigger, and their stories matte

The scariest moment in making music is when you’ve spent so much time working on yourself, perfecting your craft, and building your sound—and then you finally decide to be vulnerable and share your art and story with the world. It’s like opening up a part of yourself to strangers, exposing your deepest thoughts, struggles, and triumphs.
You put so much of your heart into it, and that level of vulnerability can be overwhelming. You wonder if people will understand, relate, or even accept it. But that’s the power of music—it allows you to share your truth, no matter how scary it feels. And the hope is that by doing so, it resonates with others, helping them feel seen, heard, and understood.

If I could change something about the music industry, it would be to make it less competitive when it comes to marketing new music. So much of the focus is on who’s winning and who’s not, but at the end of the day, music is about expression, creativity, and connection—not a race. I’d love to see more people appreciate the different forms of expression through art, rather than judging it based on trends or status.
Every artist has their own unique voice, and that diversity should be celebrated. If we embraced more of a collaborative, supportive environment, the music scene could be a space where artists lift each other up instead of constantly battling for attention. Music is meant to unite, not divide, and the industry needs to reflect that.

I’ve definitely felt lonely at times on my journey as an artist, especially when I was one of the only people who truly appreciated music and the power of expression through art. Early in the process, it can be tough when you’re not connected to people who share similar interests or understand your passion. It’s easy to feel like an outcast or even socially awkward, trying to explain your art to those who don’t get it.
The struggle of being early in your journey can leave you feeling isolated, and sometimes it feels like you’re speaking a different language than the rest of the world. But what I’ve learned is that with time, you start to find your tribe—those who get it, who connect with your music, and who share that same love for creativity.
In the end, it’s all about staying true to your vision, even when it feels like no one else sees it yet. Your passion will attract the right people, and that’s what keeps the journey worth it.

Having an artistic outlook can sometimes make you feel like you're never truly understood. As artists, we think so freelyand outside the matrix, and that can make it hard to relate to the world around us. We often end up isolating ourselves because the way we see things is so different from the norm. But it’s in that isolation where we find the space to create our best work.
Creating in a safe space—where there’s no judgment, no expectations—allows us to fully express ourselves without fear of being misunderstood. That’s when the magic happens. It's never personal. It’s just the process of tapping into a place that’s raw and real, where we can truly channel our thoughts and feelings into something meaningful.

One of the biggest things I’ve learned as an artist is that you have to love the process of creating—every step of it. From the highs to the lows, every moment should be enjoyable in its own way, because it’s all part of the journey. If you’re not creating for yourself first, then you’re missing the true essence of what art is about.
Art is meant to heal, whether it’s healing something inside of you or reaching out to help heal someone else. When you approach your craft with intention—to express, to process, or to uplift—that’s when your music becomes more than just sound. It becomes purposeful. It’s about staying true to yourself and the message you want to send, because art is always most powerful when it’s authentic.
