Dre' from Jerz Perspective on Make Luv (Vibey Remix)
I go by the name Dre' from Jerz and I am an independent recording artist who happens to rap.
My overarching goal as an artist is to create more awareness and establish my own community. Although stardom is great, being super famous is not the main objective, suprisingly. I would be satisfied if I were to start out with only 50 fans and maxed to a manageable amount such as 1000 fans. This group would preferably be like-minded people who are focused on mental health and artistic expression.
The main driving reason for me to continue to make music is that for a person like me I need an outlet. Creating songs, while being able to use beats that inspires, gives me a great sense of release. I get a chance to express my thoughts over some awesome production from a great beat maker or producer.
Practice makes perfect and there are some harsh critics out there.
During my most recent live performances, I forgot some of the lyrics to my songs. That was extremely embarrasing but definitely one to grow on.
Kanye West, Pharrell Williams, and Tyler the Creator. I totally get that they are mainstream but in terms of flow, delivery as well as style.
