akaJAMILA Perspective on Right Now

I am akaJAMILA a philly born artist.. I rap and sing somewhat

I consider myself a boss in my own right, so this song embodies that mindset

I have to go with my dad playing musing in his car when i was like 3yrs old

I have been a part of making music a long time from being in choir at 7yrs old to going to Full Sail University for recording engineering. I wasnt fully convinced I had the ability to be my own artist until I got a lot of encouragement from friends a few years ago.

Definitely hip-hop

Well I am not at the 3 year point yet, far from it so I will revisit this question by then lol

I like to play with topic related themes

I would love to tour with Megan The Stallion, I feel like we have a lot in common

I would tell them that in their prime they were the king of music

I would tell them my music is written directly from my diary and revised to complete the songs. I put a lot of thought into every lyric and song. The goal of my music is to resonate with people and tell stories through metaphors.

Michael Jackson without a doubt, his aura and talent was just unmatched.

It has to be Chains because this was my first song written and the inspiration for me to actually began a career in music seriously.

Frank Ocean - He is unpredictable and I see myself in this way
Megan The Stallion - She is edgy and inspires me to be fearless
Michael Jackson - He was so inspirational and the greatest ever

Performing at the superbowl no doubt

Frank Ocean

I don't know what to say lol

Depends on the song, I honestly just want real raw responses

Real, Raw, Unique

I haven't yet figured this part out. I try to just build catalog and if you find it you find it. But I just tell people I know about a song if I think they care.

All the time, I didnt get to this point without so much practice.

People crying to a song I cried while writing.

The point you are a household name and fans will argue with others to protect your name.

I will just stay active with great music and a message that is unparalled

Uplifting people

Fergie "Glamorous" this song just speaks to a successful life.

I would have to say my physical appearance. I do wish to tone up more before really doing visuals. I highly believe that having a strong social presence makes one more successful.

Realizing that my voice can crack mid song performance lol

I'd like labels and just the industry in general to return back to pursuing talent for their skills and making becoming an artist a competitive thing not so easy to distribute.

I am a military veteran, I also work as a medical biller

Music is my passion

Yes!, I don't want to be a social butterfly just to become an artist. I prefer authentic interactions but being artist creates a tension in some cases which I just try to avoid.

I think it makes me view how I can turn things into creative lyrics for my music.

I love abstract art that defies reality

Definitely music and visual art

Growing a fan base is hard

I just love making music, the response people give is just heartwarming

Being considered the best
