That1girl Perspective on The Headmaster

Dragging someone over to my car to listen to it over my car stereo system. I have a great sound system in my car, lol.

I want them to feel like the lyrics are taking them on a journey. I want them to feel the story to where it commands a emotional response as well as physical. I want to send chills down your spine and give you goose bumps on your arms at the same time.

Eminem.

Eminem. I think we would get along really well and he writes whatever he wants just like me. I wrote The Headmaster without any thought as to proper songwriting format. I don't aim to be like anyone else so I just wrote what sounded good without losing the meaning. Eminem is a perfect example of that.

I think R&B and Hip Hop. It has the sexiy, soulful vibe of R&B but it's a very wordy song too which plays somewhat into Hip Hop. I think it also has a Pop element as well.

It happened pretty organically about two years ago. I was working on writing my first manuscript at the time. I had some weird stuff happening with a guy I had been seeing over the summer. One morning, I was just in a mood and I started typing on my computer. I wrote it without any thought that anyone would read it or hear it at all. I was just writing it for myself. So, after about an hour or so, The Headmaster was born. I was pretty impressed with the result but I put it away and for the most part, forgot about.

My earliest memory of music is when I was about 4 years old living in Brooklyn with my parents. Right before my dad would come home from work, my mom would always play the song "Daddy's Home" I would run around all excited waiting for him playing his song.

I try to always be as authentic as possible. I write inspired by my own personal experiences so, I try to do it in such a way that other people can relate to. I hope to leave them with a sense of who I am as a person.

My name is Tricia Giaimo. Artistry plays such a huge part of my life because I pour creativity into everything I do. I'm writing my first manuscript, I paint custom skateboards, single mom of two amazing teenage daughters, and I only recently added songwriting to my resume.
