Who are you and what do you do?
Answer:

We are Glisad Music & we are Alwayz Never Sad! (Our Motto!) Our group consists of King-A'B Cher & Queen K Cher! We create music to share with you guys to hopefully uplift & inspire you!

How does your background play into this song?
Answer:

This is Queen K Cher here! (1/2 of Glisad Music). Since I'm the one that sings this song, it seemed fit I should answer! I been in the music field since I was very young. I've been singing since the age of 3 & I started piano lessons at the age of 5! Fast forward some years, I got my Bachelor's Degree in Music Technology from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton - unbeknownst to me that my degree would help me almost a decade later when I met & married my husband, King-A'B Cher! Now, I knew that I've always wanted to be a wife & this song - The Voice of Love & Victory (I Am Free) - is my celebratory anthem about me actually achieving my goal! The album art even features a picture from my wedding photo shoot! A true Victory indeed & I'm so happy to share this with you!

What is your earliest memory of listening to music?
Answer:

Ummm... I'd say since I was a baby lol. ALWAYS listened to music! As I always say - Music is Life!

At what moment in your life did you decide to become an artist / performer?
Answer:

Honestly, it was when I met my husband, King-A'B Cher. I've always been in the music field, but I didn't see myself becoming an artist or anything like that - I was more of a music teacher.

He had a dream for becoming an artist, creating music & getting his music out into the world - I knew that I had the skills to help him achieve his dream. So we came together & Glisad Music is the result! I'm happy for us to be at this level in our career!

What themes do you explore throughout your music?
Answer:

For this particular song, "The Voice of Love & Victory (I Am Free)[Empress Freda Edition]", the biggest theme we explore in this song is LOVE. King-A'B Cher & I refer to ourselves as the Emperor & Empress of Love! We believe Love is what will open the door to everything & it will anchor you in times of turmoil. We also explore themes of positivity & inspiration in our music - because the world can really use that right now.

What genres does this release play into?
Answer:

To keep it simple, I always say "Singer/Songwriter". But there are Caribbean & some pop themes in there.

What jobs have you done other than being an artist?
Answer:

Queen K Cher (still) here! I've been a private music instructor for piano, violin & Viola for a little over a decade. But I no longer do that & it feels freeing to just be able to focus on my music.

If you could alter the music industry in any way, what would you change and why?
Answer:

If I could alter the music industry in any way, it would be the level of honesty & integrity within it. The world is only about that "all might dollar" & people are willing to do just about anything for it. But we, Glisad Music, are not those kind of people! We thrive to be as authentic, honest & real as possible! We don't want to cheat or buy our way to the top, if that makes any sense. We're just here to make great music for our fans. Peace is worth SO MUCH more than what money can buy.

Do you have one main reason driving you to continue making music?
Answer:

My main reason that drives me to continue making music is my grandmother - Queen Doris Jean. She is the reason I'm even a musician today. She was the one to ask me if I wanted to take piano lessons when I was 5 years old. She passed in 2008 from cancer, but the last conversation I had with her was this: I had just finished my 1st year of college & I was in summer school. I was in the living room & she came out to the living room & asked me this one simple question - "Are you going to continue music?" & I told her "Yes, I am." It was that question that kept me motivated while in school & it's what keeps me motivated now (just grateful to have my husband now).  But yeah, that's it.
