Tray Dollaz Perspective on World Go Round

I'm rapper Tray Dollaz, born Tracy Richmond in Rochester, MN, and grew up in Chicago, IL. I moved down south and signed with independent record label The Resource Music Group in Atlanta, GA to drop my hit single “World Go Round”. The song wears the triple threat crown with hook, flow, and production.

The song is a mid-tempo track with a melodic hook, and positive vibe sure to enrapture your hip-hop taste buds.

I grew up on the south side of Chicago, so I was exposed to the street life at an early age. I've seen dope boys die in the street over material things. I decided that I wanted a different life for myself so I became a rapper.

My earliest memory of listening to hip-hop music was age 4.

Hip-Hop music with a positive vibe.

I decided to become a rapper after seeing a lot of my peers get murdered in the streets. I started rapping as an escape from a negative environment, as a way out you know what I mean?

I explore the themes of being a hustler. Bitches, clothes, cars, cribs, jewels.

I worked at Foot Locker for a couple years.

I would change the way us artists are getting paid on these streaming platforms. We independent artists deserve to make a sustainable living from our music.

I slipped and fell on stage during a performance lol.

That would be my song "Wold Go Round" because it resonates with reality. The truth of the song is that 24/7, 365 days a year 'money make the World Go Round. Where the fuck would we be without it?

I want people to feel a positive vibe. I leave you with a message as I denounce the glamorization of being a dope boy with material things that lead to the destruction of our hip-hop communities.

My definition of success as an artist would be to make a sustainable living from this streaming.

Somebody told me one time that they like the fact that I don't rap about the gang bang, shoot em up stuff.

I like the DJ Khaled song "All I Do Is Win" because it's saying that no matter what obstacles to keep pushing, keep fighting to win.

With positive vibes. I may use expicit lyrics, but it's all a positive vibe.

I like to share my music on social media.

Positive hip-hop artist.

Believe it or not, I would like to see Michael Jackson. He's one of the goats.

I believe social media helps artists get discovered more.

Instagram helps me a lot. My record label runs social media ads to help market and promote me.
