How does your background play into this song?
Answer:

Running:

Most people are operating under their best intentions with the information they have in that moment. That doesn’t mean we won’t do wrong by ourselves or others.

We are not immune to mistakes. Unfortunately when we are placed into a "time mold” (by others) it takes away our ability to grow and become better (in their eyes.)

Don’t let that stop you from being changed for the better.

“The bells are chiming as your words rang true…”

-That wake up moment.  Indeed mistakes were made by me-

But, me "Running back to you"...doesn’t mean I was received with open arms…

You can ask for forgiveness, but you will still have to carry out the consequences.  Sometimes those consequences will be others walking out on you forever.

”Oh...the winds have turned south and I’m trying to keep up with it, but it’s getting harder to breathe”…

It is bittersweet asking for forgiveness especially when forgiveness is not granted.

Realizing all experiences serve a purpose and hold valuable aspects (and a growth factors) is sometimes the only thing you get to takeaway.

Who are you and what do you do?
Answer:

I am just an everyday person who enjoys sharing my perspectives through stories in song.

The material I write is usually just a translation from what I am seeing in life.

Songwriting is more like being a "reporter"

The world is my playground

What is your earliest memory of listening to music?
Answer:

I was walking so possibly 1 year ish.

I was born in 1969 the same year The popcorn song came out.

"The Popcorn Song" is the first song I remember. I would twirling around in circles (dancing) to this little gem every time my mother put it on. It probably kept us kids busy so she could catch a break.

At what moment in your life did you decide to become an artist / performer?
Answer:

I had an unusual experience.

I didn't actually seek out music. I ended up with a guitar because my brother owed me rent and I ended up with a guitar instead.

I Learn chords from a library book.

Six months later I was asked to open for the nitty-gritty dirt band.

My first stage performance was for 5000 people at the Sandpoint Idaho Music Festival.

That was the day I fell in love with performing.

How would you describe your music to someone who has never heard it before?
Answer:

Atmospheric/driving and unpredictable.

Our songs are deliberately designed to guide our listerners into a world of reflection by using the playground of contrast between light and dark lyrics, coupled with musical compositions that are carefully crafted to evoke an emotional response.

If you could attend a performance by any artist, dead or alive, who would you choose and why?
Answer:

Queen. Freddy Mercury was my favorite singer and was a brilliant songwriter

What is your favorite song you have made, and why?
Answer:

Say Goodbye.

We live in a world of "throw away", especially when it comes to relationships.

Unfortunately, councelors are encouraging this behavior by telling people to sever ties with anyone who has hurt you.

If you live by this advice, you will find yourself alone eventually. Human beings hurt each other sometimes, and we have a tendency to hurt the once we love the most, usually unintentionally and without being aware.

Humanity needs to practice forgiving more.

If you could only listen to three artists for the rest of your life, who would you choose and why?
Answer:

Queen, Muse and U2.

Because I relate to their lyrics and music the most.

What does your dream performance look like?
Answer:

Connection.

What is the strangest place where you have discovered a new song?
Answer:

Not so much as "where" I was, which was on an airplane, but more so on "What" I was writing on.

Ugly Lie was written on an airflight barfbag...the only available paper in that moment...lol

What do you want people to feel when they listen to your music?
Answer:

Like they are understood, connected and less alone.

Enlightened, creative, optimistic

Answer:

I practice every day. It's just somthing I do routinely like sleeping and eating.

definition of success? never quitting.

measurement? Knowing connections were made.

What social media platform do you think your content performs best on?
Answer:

Facebook

What drives you to continue writing music?
Answer:

Writing keeps me centered. I breathe therefore I write. Life itself has so many aspects, possibilities and probabilities.

Sometimes I write nothing of interest. Other times I become so inspired by the words on the paper that I become a puppet to its will and creation.

What inspired this song?
Answer:

I had got into my own selfish way and found myself realizing too late that I had hurt someone I loved.

"Their words rang true",  but moments pass and time doesn't always allow for to gain forgiveness.

Name a song that best represents success to you, and why?
Answer:

Falling is about PTSD.

Healing happens in spurts. Its like a yo-yo. Up/Down. Right in the middle of the song, it changes into a more optimistic moment then Again, revert back to the low point.

Healing is like an onion with layers upon layers.

Just when you think you have come to terms with a situation and have put it into a place of rest, it reappears in some memory or is retriggered by a song or scent.

I think it is important to write about all moods.

Life isn't always clean and pretty and with reality tv influencers and the perfect lives you see on social media, it can leave the rest if us "ordinary" people feeling lost, unimportant and damaged.

I hope others who sometimes feel low will see that they are not alone.

"Falling" Is sometimes the way I feel when Im writing about something that has hurt me

What is your favorite way of sharing your music?
