CLOUDZ Perspective on Sleepless Nights

I'd say more soul/pop. Since it comes from the heart in a very specific way of feeling it in a more poetic sorrowful manner.

My biological mother wasn't the best person. I speak rarely to her because at the end of the day she's still my bio mom. A lot of control issues. I met her when I was 19 and after about a month I walked out on her. I met her again after the fourth time being homeless. I thought she had changed but things got worse. Police at one point were checking in on me to make sure I was okay not the other way around. It was rough. This song was very personal to me. Now granted I have writers of whom helped write it with me but I was in control of the narrative. I don't think she's a bad woman. I do believe that she needs the mental help that she wasn't truly ever given back then. I have come to terms that she may never seek it. And this song is about how much more pain I have experienced just thinking about it.
