How does your background play into this song?
Answer:

After experiencing depression after a break up, I was inspired to write wish..... I felt as if I wish I would've known how this person was before. I fell for them so hard.

What genres does this release play into?
Answer:

This song plays into the R&B and Pop genres.

How has your sound and style evolved in the last 3 years?
Answer:

Finally, finding my voice.

Who are you and what do you do?
Answer:

I am G9 Da Goddess; I am a Singer/ Song writer/ Actress / Published Model (Cover Model), social media influencer/Comedian/ceo of Essential Cosmetics and G9 da Goddess publications.

What is your earliest memory of listening to music?
Answer:

At the age of seven I bought my first cassette tapes. They were Baby face ,TLC, in Will Smith. These people would go on to be some of my musical influences.

At what moment in your life did you decide to become an artist / performer?
Answer:

I started performing at the age of seven. I think it was around this time that I knew that is what I wanted to do more than anything. I wanted to be a singer and perform in front of crowds of people.

What themes do you explore throughout your music?
Answer:

Throughout my music, I explore many themes and genres I feel I'm a multifaceted performer with an exceptional vocal range and capability that is almost unheard or seen.

If you could go on tour with any artist, who would it be and why?
Answer:

It would probably be TLC because I was influenced by their music growing up and they were my musical idols as a child.

How would you describe your music to someone who has never heard it before?
Answer:

What is your favorite song you have made, and why?
Answer:

I think as of right now this would have to be my favorite song because I wrote this coming from a Sincere place of wishing I knew things beforehand.

Who is your dream artist or musician to collaborate with?
Answer:

Pharrell Williams , Timberland,  Swiss beats, & of course my birthday twin Kanye West.

If you could only listen to three artists for the rest of your life, who would you choose and why?
Answer:

Now me lol

What does your dream performance look like?
Answer:

Magical 

What is your favorite way of sharing your music?
Answer:

I don't really have a fair way. I'm just grateful to be able to finally have music of my own to be able to share because I put aside my fears and Finally took a chance on myself.

What do you want people to feel when they listen to your music?
Answer:

I would love my music to be able to uplift them give them healing and add to their level of happiness.

What is the strangest place where you have discovered a new song?
Answer:

I think the strangest place I have  just suddenly come up with a new song is on the toilet where it just came to me out of nowhere ......you know like the shit just hit the bowl 🤣

How do you plan on being a game-changer within your genre?
Answer:

Until my last breath is exhaled 

If you could attend a performance by any artist, dead or alive, who would you choose and why?
Answer:

Prince, Michael Jackson, Tupac, Biggie and Left eye along side her band mates from TLC.

What has been your scariest experience while pursuing music?
Answer:

Not actually pursuing it not actually putting music out, not doing anything with my talents.

Do you practice? How has your practice changed over time?
Answer:

I practice every day since I was seven years old

What three words would you want your fanbase to use to describe you?
Answer:

Talented

What jobs have you done other than being an artist?
Answer:

I have been a office manager, Administrative Assistant, Clerical Aid, I have worked for the city of New York in the parks department. I have worked for every invention company you see on TV. I have been an advertising coordinator for a magazine, and I have been a childcare worker or you can say a teachers assistant. I have been a courier and a factory worker. I have been waitress, I have been a cashier at Sephora And I have also been a Lyft driver. 

What is the most memorable response you've had to your work?
Answer:

Probably just a shock from everyone.

How have your other passions reinforced your process of making music?
Answer:

Everything in my life has pushed me and propelled me into my music and has prepared me for the process.

What has been your most embarassing moment while pursuing music?
Answer:

The most embarrassing thing for me I think was watching everyone around me pursue their music, and I just was too scared to attempt I guess at that time I had a lack of faith.

Answer:

Do you have one main reason driving you to continue making music?
Answer:

That unshakable unwavering unadulterated love and passion for singing.

What is your favorite work of art?
Answer:

Music

How would you define having an artistic outlook on life?
Answer:

it's like seeing life through rose colored glasses, even when they get knocked off your face and you're not wearing them anymore.

What is your overarching goal as an artist?
Answer:

To be bigger than Michael lol

What is the most significant lesson you've learned through being an artist?
Answer:

They say no one man can do it all by themselves, but I found out one woman can lol

Has being an artist made your life lonely? How do you counteract this?
Answer:

No, my life was lonely before I was an known artist lo.....lmao.... I have a positive network of people who are in the same field doing the same thing we continued to uplift each other and keep each other motivated on a regular basis.

What role do you believe the artist has in our society?
Answer:

I believe our role in society is very important because we provide people with a way to express their feelings. Thoughts without them having to say it themselves sometimes we provide a outlet for them which they wouldn't be able to explore any other way. I believe that our role in society is very important because without having an outlet or something to ease the pain or silence, the thoughts in your head, only music can provide that escape so as an artist just by expressing ourselves, sometimes we help save other people and or help them Through whatever they are dealing with At the time.

How would you describe your favorite artist's music to someone who has never heard them before?
Answer:

Fire you just have to hear it for yourself.

What is your definition of success as an artist? How do you measure this success?
Answer:

There's different levels to success and everything is subject to your own beliefs or prejudices just finally putting out a song I feel successful, and this being my second single released that alone makes me feel successful regardless of how the numbers look I'm proud of myself to me that makes me successful just because I'm happy with me.

Which mediums of art do you most identify with?
Answer:

Music of course but all of it.

If you could alter the music industry in any way, what would you change and why?
Answer:

Musicians that truly make good music deserve to be heard on major platforms without having to spend a arm and a leg.

Name a song that best represents success to you, and why?
Answer:

It would probably be my song smile because it was the first song that I ever released and it seems to be a favorite.
