What inspired this song?
Answer:

In a world that seems full of people hurting other people, it is easy to forget that millions of people everyday go out of their way to help others. I was watching on television one day a group of rescue workers trying to save victims of a military bombing. The first line of the song is a simple phrase - "I just want to thank my brothers and sisters on this earth." And, I quickly followed that line up with - "For always taking care of people when they hurt."

As I got to where a chorus would normally be, I thought "How many ways can you say 'thank you'?" So, I started looking up the phrase 'thank you' in different languages, looking for words that went well together. I realized that my accent and pronunciation would not be accurate, but I hoped that that would make it more authentic for the listener. I hoped they would forgive my pronunciation because they realized I really meant what I said.

I do mean it too. Thank you for taking care of others. I do believe we are all brothers and sisters on this Earth.
